And that Is why the supposedly pirate King Is in fact the less pirate-like pirate we have basically ever seen.

Good? Bad? That Is for you to decide.
In the one piece manga, the term “pirate” is anyone that’s a criminal ON THE SEA.

Pedro was a pirate. Clover was a pirate.

There is no such thing as “pirate-like” in the one piece world because it’s a term that literally means ANY KIND OF CRIMINAL… it’s like saying “Criminal-like”… What is “criminal-like”?

Luffy is literally the chosen one of prophecy with the god fruit of freedom that saves slaves, of course he’s not like Roger, Roger didn’t even save the God valley slaves, Roger actually protected the slave owners that time…

There is “pirate-like” in the OP universe. To Luffy specifically, “pirate-like” just means freedom… And by that definition Luffy is the most “pirate-like” since he’s the most free person in the verse

But since we reader have that knowledge, we can compare and we can safely say Luffy has almost nothing of a real pirate.

just a lot slower. He would need to create distractions/openings to land it.
Nothing suggests his freeze attacks are slow. Unless you are watching anime or something

Also just from Akainu's scar, you can see he doesn't need to hit a lot of area to leave a nasty wound.
Had Akainu not reacted in time to stop Kuzan's freezing, his whole body would look like his scar.

@ZenZu now that I think of it Akainu being a FS expert is not really far fetched, especially when Kizaru was his main training partner for decades, he had to figure out a way to keep up with his speed. Also, with great power comes great responsibility, without control over the future it could be very hard for Akainu to control casualties, especially since magma is just volatile and explodes autonomously

It is ironic since most of the time he's angry, but this could open up multiple fighting modes, one derived by FS and the other by rage

Then this happened

:josad:

I'm really banking on Kuzan wavering leading to weakened reactions, or Garp is just much much faster than your average top tier, or a mix of both.
It is Kuzan wavering.

Literally the second before Kuzan shows that surprised face at garp blitzing him, Garp is calling out Kuzan for being soft and holding back.

Both times actually

With Garp being confirmed alive, we know Kuzan didn't fight with intent to kill at all.

He's deep undercover. But still cares for his teacher.

Science(Knowledge) + God(Light) = Truth
We find out that Shanks' is in charge of Magellan's diet

SMH

Over a decade of crapping out Shanks' poison

This is the real reason Shiryu rebelled; he wanted to kill Shanks for revenge after destroying his best friend's life through IBS

:ronalugh:

Shiryu most loyal in the verse, willing to lose his entire career just so Magellan can shit in peace without Shanks' poisoning his food.
