The news of Saturn’s death has yet to reach the public, what if Devon turns into Saturn and BBP make a broadcast in which they publicly announce they will execute him if WG doesn’t agree to their demands? If WG refused, everyone would lose trust in them, as they would believe the government can’t even protect one of their leaders, let alone random civilians.

Tbh strength in shonen usually goes hand in hand with relevancy. Mihawk can be a top tier and strong, but the odds of him actually being above Shanks dwindle the more we see every faction, every major character get involved and Mihawk's still in the waiting room that is cross guild.
The fact Oda has nothing for him to do is telling, he'll probably get proportionally, the same screen time King/Shiryu got/are getting now.

Big Mom literally fought Kaido for hours if not even days and proved on panel she can compete with his speed just fine or do you think Kaido was so kind he was standing around to make it fair ?

Real talk, I hope Shiryu is able to awaken the fruit somehow and gain true intangibility, becoming a ghost even and being impossible to cut. Thus going back full circle to how Koshiro mentioned "cutting nothing" to Zoro.
I can see a moment otherwise where Shiryu will take hostages/hide behind innocents somehow and Zoro will be forced to cut through them without harming them to get Shiryu in an intense standoff moment or something.

I'd prefer to wait for him and Cross Guild to actually do something, but my point still stands. If Oda didn't intend for him to be above Shanks then he would have never made him the WSS. It's too late for him to go back on that now.
