On a serious note though. Zoro's dream would be quite worthless if 95% of swordsmen would not be included due to some nitty gritty details. He refused to be defeated by a fire spitting acrobat who called himself swordsman and most of his opponents so far consisted on versatile killing machines. Zoro wouldn't call himself world's strongest swordsman if he lost to Shanks.

Zoro doesn't punch so he won't. By the way Alabasta Luffy punched Crocodile through a thick layer of rock all the way to the surface. It's not THAT big of a feat in general. In fact Koby passed out after destroying one of Pizarro's arms.
