I hope you guys dont seriously think just overheating a battery will cause explosions that wild two days in a row in two different kinds of devices lol.
Sources from Lebanon yesterday said that the pagers were rigged and the ones that exploded were ones that Hezbollah got 5 months ago.
The radio devices that exploded today were also ones that Hezbollah got 5 months ago.
Seems like Mossad just tracked were they buy their communication devices from and rigged them en masse, not the first time the tactic was used but never on this scale.
But what is interesting is that this was apparentaly a tactic kept in case of total war, and Israel pulled the trigger because two Hezbollah members discovered something was wrong with the pagers.
Yep.
This looks like a supply-line issue, not a straight manufacturing issue. The devices seemed to be linked to a shady company people are suspecting is a shell company for Israel.
IMO, the biggest aspect of this is Israel threatening world wide terror by making it seem like they can blow up people's cell phones at will.
"Talk bad about us, and you'll go boom" is the threat they're trying to instill.
In reality, this looks like it was a very sophisticated, long term operation by Mossad to sabotage the phones of Islamic terrorists.
Very effective terrorist tactic against both Israel's immediate enemies, and to scare people using social media worldwide, who criticize the ethnic cleansing of Gaza.
Last paragraph of your post is very interesting. This terror attack is going to heavily change for personal electronic communication devices are viewed/used in war.
Modern cars are the real terror, though, IMO: the US murdered Hastings with his car back in 2013.
