What was the last movie you watched?

For this one , I can actually vouch for it. That's it really good.
It doesn't really give off the conjuring type vibe but it's scary when it has to be.
The mix of culture and Mythology of old korea (north included with japan invasion) is very good writing.
Just finished it
Excellent movie, highly recommend
As a pure horror it's not a 10/10 for me personally, tho the first part is scarier than the second. But purely from an entertainment standpoint it's 10/10, never felt dull

Alien: Romulus
The good:
- I liked the suspense
- once the action starts there's always something going on and it doesn't stop till the final scene
- the Aliens look practical most of the time which is a big big plus
- I like the design of the final boss

The bad:
- it takes a while to get going
- the set up doesn't really mean much in the grand scheme of things and the actual meat lf the movie could do without it
- not enough Xenomorph action for my taste
- too small a cast which means not enough deaths

Overall, lretty strong for an Alien movie but not that great as a horror

Watched two horrors today:
- Longlegs - decent film. I usually avoid Cage movies since I dislike his acting but he was pretty good here. Didn't even realize it was him due to the make up job. Still didn't like the two-three singing scenes but whatever.
Imo the movie doesn't warrant the hype it got, but it also isn't a run of the mill horror. Within the genre I'd give it a 7/10, and without a certain fantasy element it would've been an 8/10 thriller.

The First Omen - great movie with a few logical inconsistencies, but movies gonna movie. I liked how it tied into the original Omen, and the lead actress deliver the ending stretch really well. 8.5/10 imo

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom

Not as good as the first one + some corny dialogue between Aquaman and Orm almost turned some of the scenes in the movie into a late night comedy skit but the music used for the end credits was 🔥

Lazy is the way
deadpool and wolverine

the main plot wasnt that interesting but the characters were good
i'll give it a 7/10
Yeah that’s the problem

the plot was a mess and the movie became what it mocked sometimes (timelines multiverse etc etc)

And I think Deadpool was but too much in this one, too many lines, comedy, stupidity etc. I preferred the tone of the first one

But outside of that the duo quite worked well together, some jokes were good and overall the characters and cameos were nicely done.

6/10 maybe and if I’m harsher 5/10

Only thing I loved about the movie plot wise was just seen where deadpool gets Human Torch killed by "Lying" , only to be revealed in post credit he actually did say that.
:milaugh::milaugh:
That shit cracked me up in the end.

Same for me, it was really fun and the characters' interactions were great, though the story wasn't that good though they were very self-aware about it.

I really enjoyed Emma Corrin as Cassandra Nova, though her ending was really underwhelming and anticlimatic.
Though I hope that with that movie we will see more of Cassandra Nova in the future, there are no X-Men antagonists who are as threatening as her.

Kizaruber Eats

Awkwardly existing in a world of chaos.
I watched Deadpool and Wolverine and also Luck recently, the latter I saw free on Apple TV after getting 3 months of ATV membership from a Twitch offer.

Both films really entertained and blew me away for completely different reasons ofc.

I know I'm being super lazy right now but I used AI to reword what I said about both films and fluff it out, dress it up and w/e, as I don't have the energy/mood to truly do these films justice but I NEED to promote and gush about them too!:

Deadpool & Wolverine (2024): The Superhero Bromance That'll Make You Question Your Life Choices (In the Best Way)

HOLY MOLY WHAT THE GUACA-FUCKA-MOLE, THIS MOVIE WAS A FREAKING ROLLERCOASTER OF AWESOMENESS, HYPE, NOSTALGIA, EMOTIONAL GUT PUNCHES, FAN SERVICE, OUTRAGEOUS JOKES AND RESPECT! I'm not even sure where to start, my brain is still buzzing from the sheer insanity that unfolded on that screen.

Deadpool and Wolverine together? It's like peanut butter and chocolate, but with way more blood and swearing. Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman are a match made in comic book heaven. They're like two hyperactive puppies wrestling in a room full of explosives, and it's GLORIOUS.

The action scenes? Forget about it. They're so over-the-top and ridiculous, it's like a symphony of chaos conducted by the most insane maestro of anarchy! Wolverine's claws are SNIKT-ing left and right, Deadpool's katanas are slicing and dicing, and there's so much blood and guts flying around, you'll need a shower afterwards. But it's all done with such style and humor that you can't help but grin like a maniac.

And then there's the MUSIC. Oh my sweet baby Groot, the music. As a huge Madonna fan, I nearly lost my mind when "Like a Prayer" started playing. It wasn't just any version, it was this epic, heart-wrenching, soul-stirring rendition that made me want to both cry and punch the air in triumph. It was the perfect backdrop to the most insane action sequence I've ever seen. I'm still humming it, days later.

"Deadpool & Wolverine" is the kind of movie that makes you question your sanity, your life choices, and your ability to ever watch a normal superhero movie again. It's a wild, hilarious, and surprisingly touching ride that'll leave you wanting more. So grab your chimichangas, strap in, and prepare to have your mind blown.

Also this WONDERFUL film which was the the BEST fanservice/tribute to loyal comics/superhero fans since No Way Home and Infinity War and Endgame BUT WAY BETTER AND MORE IMPORTANT, also lead to these AMAZING, extremely powerful, heartfelt edits with the new choir version of Like A Prayer from the film but used for other DRAMATIC movie and tv series finales and moments and it ENHANCES THEM IMMENSELY BEYOND WORDS!:

(SPOILERS FOR LOKI SEASON 2, the finale I believe?):

Luck: This Movie Stole My Heart, My Lucky Charms, AND My Ability to Form Coherent Sentences

Okay, y'all, I just saw "Luck," and I'm an emotional WRECK. In the best way possible, of course. Like, I went in expecting a cute little animated movie, and what I got was a full-blown FEELS TRIP that left me grinning like an idiot and sobbing like a baby. I'm not even kidding, I think I went through an entire box of tissues.
First of all, the animation is gorgeous. Seriously, it's like a visual feast of emerald greens and shimmering golds. Every frame is bursting with detail and whimsy, and I just wanted to dive headfirst into that world and never come back. I felt like a kid again, wide-eyed and full of wonder.

But it's not just the visuals that are captivating. The voice acting is chef's kiss. Eva Noblezada as Sam? A QUEEN. Her voice is like warm honey, and she brings so much heart and humor to the character. I was rooting for her from the very first scene. I felt like I was right there with her, experiencing every up and down of her journey. And Simon Pegg as Bob the black cat? Forget about it. He's a comedic genius, and he steals every scene he's in. I was literally cackling at his clumsiness and snarky one-liners. He's the kind of animated sidekick I want in my life.

The story itself is a magical blend of Irish folklore and modern-day struggles. It's a clever and creative take on the concept of luck, exploring the delicate balance between good and bad fortune. But beyond the fantastical elements, it's a deeply touching story about self-love, belonging, and the importance of family. There were moments that genuinely tugged at my heartstrings, especially the scenes dealing with adoption and the search for a forever home. I saw so much of myself in Sam, and it made the movie even more special to me.
And let's talk about the MUSIC. The soundtrack is a delightful mix of traditional Irish melodies and contemporary pop beats, but the real showstopper is Eva Noblezada's rendition of "Lucky Star." Oh. My. God. It's not just a cover, it's a SOULFUL EXPERIENCE. It gave me chills, it made me want to dance, it made me want to hug everyone in the theater (which I thankfully didn't do). As a Madonna fan, I was LIVING for it. It was the perfect song for the perfect moment.

"Luck" is a movie that'll make you laugh, cry, and believe in the impossible. It's a celebration of the human spirit, the power of friendship, and the importance of never giving up, even when the odds are stacked against you. It's a movie that'll make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside, like a hug from your favorite leprechaun. So grab your lucky charms, settle in, and prepare to be enchanted by this unexpected gem, shimmering with emerald hues and golden glows.

I believe my best buddy and clown brother from another mother/circus @CoC: Color of Clowns posted this song for you guys in the Conejo FC for me on my request? @Pot Goblin :

I couldnt stop think of Pot with this film "Pot of Gold-blin, Pot of Gold Goblin? Pot of Greed?!" with ALL the constant conejos in it! Pot you would LOVE this film along with our lovely little furry cult! I really can't recommend it enough, its absurdly good and feel good too!

These scenes were ABSOLUTELY INSANE too! Pure RAPID FIRE CREATIVITY AND IMAGINATION! Absolutely unreal!:

Also on another note, I'm looking to see Inside Out 2 too, as well as Despicable Me 4 and Ghosbusters The Frozen Empire soon ideally and I CAN'T WAIT for Sonic 3, that looks absolutely amazing! My Sonic Adventure 2 days, my inner child are crying so much from happiness and hype decades later from this!
