There is no reason to assume there's an "other hostile", based on what appears to have happened he is as eligible to be killed by Green. They would not be aware of Polar's alignment.

Why are you presuming for a fact that a faction with seperated members knows who those seperated members are?

For one, you're theorizing he was converted "in the middle of the night", which by default falls out of the purview of resolution order.
