Complete different lvl, both we have equal battle with Oden vs Kaido, both seems almost equal, Kaido fear Oden and make a long ass plan to beat him. Overall a battle of two solid top tiers back then.
Right under you see the Gods of one piece, the strongest characters overall, just their insane haki clash shock Oden and let him fear, Oden was complete portrayal as someone who is league under these two monsters and as @comrade said in the past neither Whitebeard or Roger use their strongest ability here, Whitebeard didn´t even use his Gura power, just his insane CoA already do that epic clash.

No wonder why Sengoku, Big mom and co still fear Whitebeard until his death, portrayalwise Whitebeard and Roger are the nonplusultra of the verse. I hope the Yonkous can show soon enough good feats too.

Oden shocked at Haki =/= Yonko shocked at Haki clash or inferior to Roger and WB.
Kaido feared Oden teaming up with Hyo and rest, the battle will be harder since his crew was weak with 1000 men only.

Kaido planned to reduce Wano force and he succeeded by making oden dance for 5 years.
Oda wanted to portray Prime Oden and Young Kaido on similar level from their equal clash at the castle to their combat plans and both having AP to fatally Wound or KO each other.
The problem is that Oden used CoA and named attack, Kaido never did. Which still makes Oden kinda weak to be matched or lose to Kaido like that. Oda should have had Kaido use hybrid or named attacks at least.
Also Kaido used one arm to KO oden...it's like Kaido needed more force to KO Luffy than Oden when we know Oden has better dura and endurance

@playa4321 ome armed Shanks without DF keeps up with the other Yonko. Just having powerful Haki.
Base Whitebeard and Roger seem to have greater Haki than Shanks and that's dismissing the Gura fruit and Roger's equal power we have yet to witness (probably CoC which we will see through Luffy).

When it comes to CoA it's not even a debate. We have seen Big mom and Kaidou clash and we have seen Primebeard/Roger clash. There is no room left for discussion.

Roger was happy to meet Oden. Why would he seriously hurt him? Plus Oden was on guard charging towards Roger and Roger hit Oden's stomach with blunt force. Do you think Oden would stand up if Primebeard hit Oden's back of the head with his Bisento? He, would have split Oden's skull. Unless you think Oden's head is durable enough to withstand that. Oden was killed by a headshot from some average pistol. Primebeard with his monstrous strength and Supreme grade blade would had crushed Oden's skull.

They shook the island and seas for 3 days straight... To à point queen didn't wanna stay there, ROGER and WB didn't shake that sialnd for days, they had breaks in-between and nobody feared the island would be destroyed during the battle.

Nobody in their right minds thinks BM and kaido would be haki masters.
WB can't do what BM and kaido do unless he uses Gura or CoA.
