4 chapters guys, thats how long she's been around. You have to wait for the character growth. Robin was "evil" for 60+ chapters. Franky was "bad" for 40 chapters. Nami hated pirates for 50 chapters before you figured out why. Brook's motivations about his shadow/afro were unknown for 25 chapters.


Oda spends tens of chapters to grow his characters.

She is, by and large, the only character to directly ask Luffy to join outside of any current Strawhat. We have to take that seriously, regardless of how her character is written.
