Well Kuzan would most keep on making ice to counter Akainu’s magma and then you add haki to the fight .
At the end of the days unless they constantly adding ice or magma\fire to keep it going there power can be counter just by normal fire or ice.
It not like we know how cold or hot these power is be lol.

A big part of Zoro's character is being able to care without showing it though. If he was a crier, you wouldn't have Nothing Happened, you wouldn't have what he was during the Usopp fight etc.

Robin's new flashback > those NPC's flashback. 1 of Post TS' biggest downfall is Oda neglects SHPs too much while focus on irrelevant NPCs far too much.

Not with Zoro. Everytime oda made Zoro act on emotion it has ruined his character for ex moments like 'nothing happened' and begging to mihawk.

Been a long time since I've seen HxH so don't really remember clearly. Your example of Kurapika is good but Zoro's character does not fit in a similar criteria

Zoro only truly cares about Luffy and Chopper. The rest he is on good terms with, but not like the former two.
