Women are oppressed by patriarchy all over the world:
- In Iran, Patriarchy uses religion and sexism to force women to wear certain clothes and prevent them from having certain rights.
- In the West, Patriarchy uses sexism and Islamophobia to shame women who wear certain clothes (Hijab or skirts)
In BOTH cases, women are shamed and stripped of their agency and in both cases women are oppressed by Patriarchy that is a system of domination of men over women.
As such we must destroy Patriarchy and patriarcal dictatures to allow women to wear what they want and have equal rights with men in the West AND in Iran.
This is what feminism is : The full understanding of Women's agency

So you have different standards on how women are oppressed in the west and east basically.

The system simply works differently in function of the society it is installed in.
For example, in Japan, Patriarchy works very differently from the West and the Middle East. In this system, it's capitalism that pressure patriarchy into the strats of society and creates societal aberration such as women who are pushed to work by the system but are shamed at work by men while the entire country is being pushed toward implosion because of the isolations of both men and women.
You could say that Japan is a version of patriarchy that lost complete control of itself and yet, it's still a system of domination of men over women.
And no. Women in Europe are not fine. They are in a better shape that women in the middle east, granted, but they are not fine.
This is a vast subject. There are many parameters and I don't really have the motivation to do some research and list them, especially because I know that everything that I say here is ignored.
I've listed a few things in the leftists Library, but this is just a glimps of the problem, look at the sociology of patriarchy to see the whole spectrum.
