Advanced King's Haki marks a huge leap. When Luffy mastered it, he began to clash head-on with Kaido. Zoro has this technique and Katakuri does not, besides the fact that Katakuri is a paramecia, so his body can suffer permanent damage from the adcoc blades. This debate makes no sense. It's like comparing the current Mbappe with Ibrahimovic, it makes no sense at all. Mainly because Ibrahimovic is obsolete, while Mbappe is still playing and developing.

Anyone can but they didn't? Smoker was involved in two warlord incidents. Now there is an ex warlord crew who are a somewhat major force. Dorry and Broggy went from not doing anything in the story for like 20 years to being some of Luffys most important allies,and literally fighting off the Gorosei when the giants became important in the story. Why wouldn't smoker be the same when it comes time for the SH vs marines?
