Questions & Mysteries Is Kaidou the character with the most on-screen kills?

#1
Weak people like fodder don’t count.*

1st - Killed Oden.
2nd - While confirming that he also killed the old witch at the same time, bringing the count to 2 victims.

2º - Kurozumi Higurashi

Killed the 3 Daimyo of Wano:
  • 3º - Shimotsuki Ushimaru
  • 4º - Fugetsu Omusubi
  • 5º - Uzuki Tempura
Although it happened off-screen, it is evident that Kaidou killed them based on Yamato's statement. We are talking about relevant characters, not complete fodder.

6º - Killed Luffy, even if only momentarily, as he only came back to life due to his Devil Fruit.

7th - Guernica's Vivre Card confirmed that he died here; Kaidou killed him with a single blow.

Bonus:

@MonsterKaido @SkySanji @comrade @nik87 @Fleet Leader Fenaker @Hanzo hattori @JoNdule @GeneralP123 @Philosoraptor

I forgot to mention in the topic that it was about characters with significant strength and not fodder, man.
Tell me someone Lucci killed who is at least stronger than Kin'emon.
Probably Shiryu then, he was implied to be killing Impel Down prisoners often, a lot of big time pirates were imprisoned there, most of them probably comparable if not stronger than those Daimyo's.

In these scans alone there are easily 50+ prisoners.

Yes, there will probably be fodders that killed more of the same rank. Akainu has a pretty high track record of killing civilians, like when he ordered the ship with civilians at Ohara being destroyed, but Kaido has the best track record of defeating and killing formidable foes. He literally conquered the second strongest warrior country, enslaved and killed powerful Samurai, had the greatest gauntled and even killed the main character of the story. Waido is unmatched.

There are only randoms on the ground there, lol.
By strength:
  • Oden
  • Luffy
  • 3 Daimyo, one of whom is mentioned as a master swordsman, something even Zoro hasn't achieved yet (I need to check if all 3 were masters or just Ushimaru).
  • Guernica
  • Hyogoro's family, which ended in 16 deaths. The Yakuza of Wano, when compared to fodder from other countries, scales as superior.
  • Finally, we add the old witch to this list as the weakest link.

We have barely scratched the surface with the lvl 6 prisoners, a lot of them were well known pirates but would be randoms to us readers. Even the lvl 5-3 inmates IIRC were so strong that WB wanted them on his side during the war, he noted their strength. Not only that, Buggy became a Warlord just by commanding them, those were all random no named prisoners btw.

I'd say the combination of quality + quantity of kills is the highest for Shiryu over anyone in the series.

You don't have the numbers and you can't even say that these guys are strong, that is to say they were being tortured daily in there, right?

We know that a single member that Kaidou killed, for example Guernica, can kill all of that trash, so although the numbers may be higher, Kaidou's victims make up for it by being absurdly stronger.

And if I were Whitebeard I would say the same thing when my goal is to bring as many people as possible to my side. LOL
Post automatically merged:

Only three of these were technically on-screen, though.
Yeah, and no one has more than 3 on-screen deaths besides kaidou.

We don't know that, some of those prisoners could be stronger than Izo who is mid to upper end scabbard.

Thing is Whitebeard had no reason to lie to Marco, he said to Marco that some of those prisoners are strong, and would be a nuisance to deal with. Those were just no names, also this no name group was so exceptional that it gave Buggy a pathway to Warlord status, which is huge for a fodder such as him. It speaks to the quality of these no name prisoners.

In terms of the strongest kill, I doubt any of those prisoners touch Oden though yea. But if Shiryu's numbers are high enough, I would give him the nod of quality kill counts.

If not then the only one competing with Kaidou in top end kills is Teach, because he technically killed WB a Yonkou, and Thatch, an implied top commander, ontop of whatever else he did to conquer part of the New World.

Indeed, since we don't know who Shiryu killed or the level of the characters involved, we can't attribute that to him. Also, the fodder Buggy was with is stronger than the ones from Wano, which received a portrayal superior to that of Marine soldiers?

Ashura, Kawamatsu, and Denjirou were equivalent to 200 men (I'm not sure if Kin'emon was comparing them to 200 men from Wano), while Sanji was described by Luffy as being stronger than 1,000 men or equivalent. The Luffy that Kaidou killed is far superior to the Sanji described as worth 1,000 men. So, if we were to make a conversion, Kaidou would surpass Shiryu by a landslide in terms of numbers.

And that was just a joke, Luffy who was killed could take out 50 thousand men just as basic Coc, a weaker version than the one that was killed by kaidou so there is no way to attribute this to Shiryu, because in this case, the quality of the characters Kaidou killed overwhelmingly surpasses the unknown characters Shiryu has been killing, chaining up, and torturing in a cell and the forage in the corridor which in no way adds up to more than 50 thousand. LOL.

Strength is relative. In a war between two even forces, numbers matter. Fodder guards in Impel Down were laboring and torturing prisoners routinely. Obviously a legit high tier in the upper commander range would slaughter them, especially since he could make sure they are restrained to pose no credible threat.

Yes, however let's assume that their quantity can compensate for their weakness, however would it be more interesting to kill Luffy who can knock out 50 thousand prisoners with basic Coc proving that his value is above 50 thousand mere prisoners or kill 50 thousand prisoners?

Quality > quantity.
That's why I had to say that these are characters with the relevant strength because fodder is out of the question.

Well this isn't really about the means to gain kills, since the Oden kill would hardly count given Oden was restrained, weakened, being boiled and then shot in the head. He was as good as a defenseless prisoner, how did he get to that state? Well it was a cheapshot thanks to a hostage. But we're not really looking at that for this thread, which is why I think Teach has a good case, because WB is a bigger fish than Oden, and Thatch may be competing with Guernica. Depends if you want to count Luffy as a kill or not.

Yes, but we have no information about the level of the characters that Shiryu killed, these guys that Buggy is with are fodder for any of the characters that Kaidou killed.

He killed one important flashback character and the other flashback characters he killed off screen.

Oh yeah speaking of him killing Oden, he only killed Oden during the execution by shooting him, and not through an actual fight.:milaugh:

Kaido killing Higurashi is not even impressive, she was already 85 years old.:suresure:

And then in the present timeline he only killed Guernika.

He still failed to kill the Scabbards and many other characters during the war.

Oh yeah he also failed to kill Speed and Tama that one time during Act 1 of Wano.

He killed Luffy, yeah but Luffy came back to life, so it doesn't really count as a kill anymore.

Nice try but you failed.

Oden : Do I really need to say how important Oden is to Wano?
Luffy: Do I need to say how important Luffy is?
Gurnica: Or do I need to say how important this guy is that the Gorosei were mourning the loss of?

3rd character on screen, bring me someone who killed more than 3 people on screen.
He thinks Kaido had the most impressive on screen kills.
And he still doesn't know how to read, damn it.

Gotta love how tortured Impel Down prisoners don't count but beaten to death, restrained, boiling to death Oden counts.

Gotta love how weak fodder don't count but old crone Higurashi counts. She also counts despite the fact Kaido didn't say that he killed her personally just that "I had her killed". That could mean that he ordered her execution at the hands of a subordinate of his. Never mind that it happened off screen regardless.

Gotta love how the title says "on-screen" but most of these deaths are actually off screen.
