Is there one case of someone willingly joining the cause of another pirate that is weaker? In piracy, hierarchies are based on power. A captain won't have a subordinate more powerful than himself. Why would the subordinate even join in the first place, and how would someone like Blackbeard accept someone as strong or stronger than himself into his rank, especially since Blackbeard acknowledges that in piracy betrayal is common.

To be fair Aokiji has been a subordinate all of his life. At his age it's easier for him to join an active crew that start one from scratch when he as zero experience has a pirate.
I wouldn't say Aokiji is above Teach, but Teach likes toying with fate and he is a walking counter as Yami + Gura makes the hie hie genuinely useless.

Mihawk willingly joined another pirates cause. Mihawk is fighting for Crocodiles dream, so is Croc > Mihawk, or are you willing to admit stronger people can join weaker people for their own interests.

Mihawk didn't join Buggy by his own accord. He uses Buggy as a public face and bullies him behind the curtains. Aokiji on the other hand willingly became an underling who does the tasks assigned to him by his boss.

First of all, there‘s 2 arms. The sacrifice that Shanks made left a huge impact on Luffy so he’s not missing that detail. Luffy might let his guard down since he’ll think that Shamrock is a good guy though.

i agree that he will think its shanks, but i don't think shamrock will get the hit in this will be a shanks vs kidd and killer trying to run in type situation and zoro will stop the attack and save luffy.
