ONE PIECE CHAPER 1137: SHAMROCK'S APPEARING

Latrines and their 3 brain cells are unable to understand why Zoro defeating Shamrock is the most logical conclusion that a sane reader could take.
It's not about downplaying Shamrock or overhyping Zoro, it's about Zoro surpassing Shanks before he reaches Mihawk's level and him defeating even his twin. Zoro always faces the 2nd strongest opponent and Luffy is facing Loki who is > Shamrock(you can't deny that anymore).
In terms of strength, the arc villains rank as follow: Loki > Shamrock > Gunko (Luffy > Zoro > Sanji).
Zoro will get his moment against Shamrock, that's what the whole arc is setting up.
Zoro will defeat Shamrock in Elbaf, which will mirror Mihawk knocking Zoro out in East Blue.
Zoro the "King of Hell" will clash with Shamrock’ griffin sword.
Zoro will cut "Shanks".
Zoro fighting Shamrock goes even beyond that. Zoro has to channel his energy to cut Shamrock and that makes him more likely to get black blade in the future. Zoro can't just go and land an attack like "Divine Departure" because the cut is not clean and it will not cut Shanks, it will only cut Shamrock. So, he has to learn how to channel that blade energy to make a clean cut on someone like Shanks.
Shamrock’s awakening may make him fuse with the Shanks element and him becoming literally Shanks. Zoro may need to learn how to cut Shanks, like Sanji managed to stop a laser that was pure light. That will be the challenge.

I don't recall They just called it Harald's DF, They said it's passed down through Generations meaning He became King & then DF was in his hands, nothing suggests He had to eat it. Actually it makes more sense that No King does consume it, otherwise it means Retirement isn't an Option, you have to Die for New King to take over,
And let's be honest, these are Vikings that Usopp wants to become like, it's obvious there are gonna be some Lies involved, and Giants already said that Harald had a Prophecy that his Son wd kill him which could be just a Lie tbh,
Also if that DF is only for Kings of Elbaph & previous King must Die for it to be Inherited, then Loki should have been allowed to become King,

i think shanks is a lot closer to yonko like big mom and kaido than he is luffy in terms of how far he's willing to go. we still don't even know why he's really a yonko. every other one it's clear what their force projection and territory is. Whitebeard had a gigantic fleet with his own captains and multiple allied crews, important territory he was protecting. Blackbeard has a very similar setup, runs a giant island of pirates, has each crew member running their own ship and doing solo missions, has allied crews, etc. Buggy has one of the largest pirate crews in the setting with his metal gear solid mercenary Outer Heaven of Cross Guild & their bounty system and global merc contracting. Kaido had a global weapons dealing empire, a giant crew, a territory that it was impossible to assault, deals with the world government. Big Mom had a massive territory of islands and an entire production economy of farmers and food suppliers, Underworld connections, married her kids off to different islands for territory expansion, etc. Luffy has the Grand Fleet, his flag is planted in Fishman Island, Alabasta, and several other important places around the Grand Line, he has allies everywhere.
What does Shanks actually have? We only see his crew hang out together on random empty wilderness islands and visiting bars. He defends useless weaklings who have no value for force projection or territory. Elbaf isn't actually his territory, he's just friends with some giants and hangs out in an Underworld bar. Gartel isn't an important island as far as anyone can see, and they have no real military might because Barto took them over by himself.
But we know he has this stuff and his crew does actually split up and do things on their own because it's alluded to. Kid's first attempt on Shanks while he was still in the criminal underworld was implied to be one of these cases, as he couldn't break through the territory, never saw Shanks himself, and lost his arm to Benn Beckman. The crew has some kind of intelligence network, because they're getting reports on Blackbeard and other pirates around the world. I will cope forever and say there's a reason most of this is offscreen. It's just because Shanks runs the underworld. He's "free" to be a pirate but he's still running something for the world government and it's why Sengoku orders the Marines to stand down and listen to Shanks at Marineford.

i think shanks is a lot closer to yonko like big mom and kaido than he is luffy in terms of how far he's willing to go. we still don't even know why he's really a yonko. every other one it's clear what their force projection and territory is. Sometimes the answer is just simple, all the times they hung out drunk on random ass islands; they claimed they were under their protection. His way of making friends is very similar to Luffy, and Luffy got endless subordinates which he didn't even ask for. No doubt Shanks got them in the same way.
