The the battle for Wano drawing closer and closer and the major players on both sides getting set up in their roles. Who will be fighting Kaido's second in command King?
Sanji or Zoro.
Points for Sanji.
1) both King and Sanji have similar attributes in both using fire and flight. A) King's "Hell Fire" vs Sanji's "Flames of Passion". B) With the raid suit improving Sanji's "flight" abilities we could see a full on Arial battle in the sky. Possibly fighting on Sky Islands around Wano.
2) While King does have a sword he doesn't seem like a swordsman, more similar to Pica. This is Wano the land of Samurai and for Zoro not to fight the strongest swordsmen in Wano wouldn't make sense for his character. So I put it as a point for Sanji.
3) Sanji needs a strong opponent to go all out. Not just taking his raid suit to its limits, but also to see the full extent of his training under Ivankov the number 3 in the Revolutionaries.

Points for Zoro.
1) with Kyoshiro being revealed to be Denjiro, Orochi's forces have seemingly loss their strongest swordsman. As he was built up to be strongest Samurai in Wano and Zoro's opponent. As King is most likely Kaido's strongest fighter and again most likely the third strongest person of the Orochi Kaido Big Mom alliance under Kaido and Big Mom. It does follow the pattern of Zoro taking on the number two person.
2) While we don't know King's exact skills with his sword, I would assume that spending twenty plus years in Wano and having an alliance with the Shogun of Wano, King may have been trained the Wano sword techniques. And if so we could see a good sword fight.
3) Zoro has stated to be interested in learning Kinemon's "fire cutting" techniques, and may have picked up a few things either by learning them from Kinemon directly during the voyage to Wano, or by watching him and "copying" his technique. And if so fighting King would be his way of Mastering the techniques.

Personally I want Sanji vs King, because I've said for a long time that I want a Sky battle. Plus Zoro really needs to fight a true Samurai.
The chances of Sanji fighting King are less than zero.
Saying there is no chance doesn't do justice to how unlikely it is.

both of them won't solo calamities. luffy alone took 12 hours for his debut against someone on calamity level. he took another hours for taking down doffy with help of some.

those two won't have their own calamity debut except either get help from many or just simply it won't happen on wano.

luffy is one piece benchmark. he is whole gen benchmark. when he doing something. ppl on his gen will prolly do same but with load and miracle effortz. way way harder than what luffy did especially if it's against one of top dog of the arc.

Honestly, I want Zoro to be part of Kaido fight
While Sanji vs King

I think that would satisfy all parties
And give both Zoro and Sanji their challenges:

- Zoro: Cutting Fire of (Boro Breathe) + managing to scar Kaido who has an impenetrable skin is a big for his swordsmanship

- Sanji: he just fits King a lot more

Though I understand the whole masses wanting Zoro vs King just cause King is number 2 in Beast pirates and he holds a sword

My sad expectation though is:

- Sanji vs Pageone
- Zoro vs Orochi

Lol, those two match ups if ended as their main fight, I'd be pissed from Oda...

Tell Urogue not to beat commanders up before Luffy does it. :lusalty:
How dare he beat stronger people up before the MC?!!

I'm not talking about commanders but calamity. what I mean calamity lv is 1 to 3 top commanders since there only three of them. snack isn't calamities lv. urouge loses to cracker. and we don't know how long long for urouge for taking down snack anyway. still he lost to cracker and law loses to doffy.

Yes, it’s true, but you’re omitting something : Luffy had to rely entirely on his post-training level, he didn’t get a PU until the end of his fight against Katakuri. Zoro and Sanji got a huge PU and might get another one on top of it.
