Imu was probably someone who wanted to become a god and immortal. He initially created the Mother Flame by creating the First War.
And then in the Second War, Joy Boy limited imu abilities.
The Nika Fruit was created because someone wanted to destroy Imu and escape slavery.

This makes sense, since Blackbeard was teased from the start of the series as Luffy's foil.

Despite the fact that he barely got any screen time. He will be play a huge role in the end.

It doesn't make sense for this much buildup just for imu (a character introduced much later and not much development) to be final villain.

And this painting sort of confirms, imu was the central figure in the 2nd world.
So, Imu=Lurking Legend confirmed?

BB and his crew are just this generation's Rocks pirates, they are nowhere near being relevant enough to be the final villains.

Imu,the winged demon and world serpent are the ultimate challenge.
I don't think so, BB can acquire two ancient weapons. There is also a lot of build up to his character. He knows a lot about Xebec and taboo topics. He is scheming to become King. One of his henchmen can cosplay as Saturn. BB is probably planning to steal Imu's spot.

Sea devil=BB is Devil fruit man already has strongest paramecia and logia he is going to obtain the strongest zoan aka imu nika counterpart
Moon God Mythical devil fruit?
The moon's gravitational pull causes the ocean to bulge, creating high tides and low tides. This is because the moon's gravitational pull, combined with Earth's gravity, creates a tidal force

Still Imu. Blackbeard simply doesn’t have enough forces to make it remotely a challenge for the entire Strawhat alliance.

Blackbeard is a D, so just one of the Moon or Half Moon people…whichever one turns out to be the D family.
Once the final villain takes his final form the fodder won’t matter, Blackbeard doesn’t give a rat’s ass about his crew and would sacrifice them in the blink of the eye if it meant he’s getting his final ambition. Blackbeard won’t go down like Crocodile where the rest of his crew gets to fight the SHs then the heroes win and we all celebrate
He’s gonna ascend humanity somehow

The only way for that to happen is through the most convoluted bullshit that Oda could ever pull from his ass.
Blackbeard would have to find someway to take the dragon of hell from Imu after somehow getting passed the literal demons that serve him and can be summoned in the middle of his stronghold.

I’ve not shut out the possibility completely….but the only way I could see Oda pulling it off is through immense stupidity that would make every bad decision he’s ever made beforehand look like child’s play.

This is as convoluted as it gets

He doesn’t need to take Imu‘s fruit, he could be the devil himself (on the left) or summon him maybe
The potential of Yami is unknown and he’s still looking for more fruits
