I think Gaban hyping Kaido in some way make sense because he thinks the same guy defeated Oden.
Depends who is stronger or weaker, Oden was legit a strong top tier who got defeated by Kaido in a unfair battle. Question is how it would end if both fought fair.

Oden is not weak, im sure he has also a bounty of 2.5B+ and would give any other top tier a good battle. But the place where Oda scale these characters is clear for me.

If Gaban truly tried to stop Loki and failed hard, it just hypes Loki even more but it also open up the question, is there really a huge gap between top tiers? How strong is Loki in comparison to Akainu,Primebeard,EoS Teach or Roger?

Gaban hype and scaling is pretty simple this chapter:
Shanks(for now until we know how he defeated loki)>Loki>(Kaido/Prime Gaban/Prime Oden)?

Feats will tell a lot, if a old Gaban can pull out some crazy feats against Luffy and overall in Elbaf, no one can ignore that he was most likely above Oden too. Like no one will question out if Sanji end up stronger as Yamato or not, because he will!!

Right now there are probably not many characters who are above Loki.
Things will be spicy for the next chapters, this arc will give as a better view for the characters after all.

The burden of proof would be on you to prove you would need to be strong in the way you'd need to be strong to defeat Mihawk or be Pirate King.

What I'm telling you is that there is plausibility of the opposite because, while only Luffy will become PK and only Zoro will defeat Mihawk, it stands to reason that the whole crew will find All Blue, which includes the likes of Chopper.

His dream does not have the same implications power-wise as the dreams of the other two. That is all.

gabban nor kizaru knows how luffy actually did it they just think luffy solo kaido and won.

Acknowledgement? Oda is literally spelling out strength for you and you refusing because it doesn't align with your beliefs. Marco was the strongest of WBPs, Kata of his crew, King, Rayleigh, Bepo

And as an example of that strength, he used Law's crew as an example. Bepo isn't reliable on most circumstances, but other members acknowledged him as more useful in battles. Zoro could fit here since he is the swordsman, but that is questionable, since that only tells stuff about how the Heart Pirates work.

And lets not pretend every single crew is the same, specially when you have such an obvious parallel to Sanji with a member of the RP.

Right Hands are still more reliable to their Captains in most circumstances because thats their whole point.
