Whiskey Peak parallel is establishing their true brotherhood the same way Luffy and Ace did, by fighting. If anything, Luffy being willing to fight him while he is wielding swords proves that he didn’t take the fight seriously as a fight to the death at all

Zoro is often implied and/or shown to be relative to Luffy, and Sanji is often implied and/or shown to be relative to Zoro

Even in fights, Luffy gets by far the strongest opponent but has a leaps and bounds more difficult fight

If it wasn’t obvious before, it sure as hell is now. Roger, Rayleigh and Gaban are viewed as relative to each other and Oda went out of his way to hammer in the fact that Luffy, Zoro and Sanji are their modern day equivalents
