They bought too much into the narrative of Luffy's crew becoming like a typical Yonko crew when that never was going to be the case

Luffy's crew was always going to be a mirror of Roger's crew, and we knew for a long time that Roger had at least 1 crewmate who was very close to him in power; now we know that it was actually 2

Don’t blame them for thinking that, even I fell for the trap because of how strong Yonko were compared to commanders

I think we now need to evaluate exactly how much damage Luffy did to Kaido because that 90% damage people were pushing makes no sense

Pk crew was never gonna be like yonko bums
But looks like shanks crew is the same as roger s
Vc even states ben= shanks

They will only be roughly equal through Laugh Tale, where the former peaked.

Luffy will continue to scale beyond this, as will they, but Luffy’s true incarnation as the sun god will place him on a tier with only Imu, the forest god, and the sea god, and potentially prime Blackbeard depending on how his powers go. Zoro and Sanji will peak slightly over the current Gorosei, which is higher than Gaban or Rayleigh ever reached but not as high as Luffy will ultimately go.
At this point, Luffy is already beginning to leave them behind as his powers start to transcend reality and common sense. Zoro and Sanji both beat Luffy right now if he doesn’t have Gear 5, but he does, and the ceiling for Gear 5 is literally the plot of the story/infinite/as much as Oda wants.

The three of them are always just slightly stronger than their opponents, so considering that Luffy’s final opponent will transcend the other villains then he will also be scaled much higher.

The difference of course being that Zoro and Sanji will still be alive at the end of the story, and without being retconned into a stupid idiot god.

The point of this chapter was not Luffy Zoro and sanji will cap where the roger pirates did
It was reinforcing what always stated, that they are unit above the rest that will be always relative.
This means till EoS and beyond, like it was for the roger pirates, not just laugh tale

Oda has a problem with showing us
I hope he doesn’t ruin his story and have someone say sanji is equal to luffy or zoro.
if he does, then that means Sanji can also beat Mihawk, shanks, BB, Akainu, etc.

Honestly I don't think so. While both zoro and sanji and others can/will participate against imu , luffy will still be mainly responsible for beating him. He has god tier fruit on top of having top tier haki at eos.

I see eos luffy as god tier character where as both zoro and sanji can be above PK level at max. Imu most likely >>> Gorosei who will be their matchups.
