Which of these 5 was the best thing that ever happens to the Admirals? And which of these do y'all expected the least?

1. Aokiji being a boxer.

2. Kizaru's unexpected but welcome character development at the end of Egghead arc.

The funny part is that Akainu didn't even bark at Kizaru like he did with Fujitora and was like, "Sorry bro, my bad." And Kizaru was like, "Bruv, don't even let me start on that shit." Lmao.

3. Ryokugyu's immaculate and chastised Black Blade.:araboss:

4. Fujitora's Supreme Grade Blade.:fujilaugh:

5. Akainu's 5 crown stars which translates to 5 billion berry.:absojustice:

So ye, which of these 5 was the biggest win for the Admirals Nation and which one did y'all least expected to come out of?:wellwell:

For me, Aokji > Fujitora > Akainu > Ryokugyu > Kizaru.

I didn't expect Aokiji to be a boxer tbh. I thought that he was a all-rounded guy with insane weaponry skills made from ice. Like I expected Aokiji to create long ass ice spear and start thrusting motherfuckers. Then again, that's on me for not remembering that one time Aokiji created an ice saber just for it to get swatted away by pre-timeskip Sanji lol. But pretty cool for Aokiji.

I knew that Fujitora's sword would be one of the high ranking ones, like among the 21 Great Blades at the very least. Just didn't expect it to be one of the 12 Supreme Grade Blades Lmao. And what's more interesting is that his blade was forged in Wano. Fuji being from Wano theory is intensifies?

I also knew that Akainu's bounty system from Cross Guild was gonna be high, just not expecting it to be 5 crowns lol. I predicted it to be 4 bil but 5 bil works too.

Ryokugyu's black blade theory was always there upon his debut, some said no, others said yes. I'm glad to be on the "Yes, daddy" side though. Makes my agenda of Sanji's Black Flame vs Ryokugyu's Black Blade theory stronger day by day.

Then lastly Kizaru, I knew he would get a character development somewhere in the future. Oda did a pretty good job exploring Kizaru's past with Vegapunk and Sentomaru if you were to ask me, Kizaru having an outburst against Akainu due to his guilt of "killing" Vegapunk was just cherry on top. Also, who's gonna tell bro (Kizaru) that VP is still alive Lol?

But yea that's about it. Thoughts?

I don’t know how to phrase this without getting verbally jumped since I know it’s a hot topic, but I still don’t think Greenbull has a black blade. It looks like a sheath.

Who would wear an unsheathed sword going straight through their pants? Why did no other character comment on the black blade?

I’m not opposed to an admiral having one, but it’s strange that it would be introduced with zero fanfare or indication in the story itself that it really is a black blade.

Kizaru feeding Luffy impacted the community the most. Barely any Luffy fans show themselves on this site since that SBS dropped. Luffy's stocks plummeted so bad you have people trying to rewrite history and call Luffy a high tier outside of G5.
It was always a popular theory and even before that Kizaru being compromised was obvious.

The feeding confirmation just made it impossible to cope without sounding crazy.

Akainu’s bounty is the biggest thing though. He basically is guaranteed to have elite portrayal from that.

1124 and it's not close
What happened in that chapter again? I don't read OP chapters anymore.

So Oda never shows the tip of the sword fully (panel got cut off) but from what we know, the blade has a wavy pattern like Shisui.

If that was sheath then it would have look like this:

Sword sheath don't have wavy pattern like that. Only the blade does.

And also, there's nothing wrong with having a unsheath sword through your pants lol. As for no comment on it, Zoro didn't really point out Fujitora's supreme blade in Dressrosa either.

But I do see your points though.

Hmm, I see it. That is pretty consistent with how blades are drawn, very helpful. Genuinely a strange way of introducing such a massive reveal though. It had such little focus in the chapter itself that I didn't even think of Greenbull having a Black Blade until I came here and saw people arguing about it.

Yea shit's weird for sure. Black blade are supposed to be a huge deal. Maybe Oda will save the hype for later.

Ryokugyu’s black blade will never again be matched in the agenda wars. Ryokugyu’s black blade was the reverse ZKK, only a small number of Admiral fans defended this position and we ended up making 90% of the One Piece fandom look like the retards they are. Such a catastrophic W will never exist again for any other fandom including Admiral fans.

Akainu’s 5 billion bounty was great but bounty scaling always is, always was, and always will be bullshit. It’s a fun reference point to mock idiots who ever took bounty scaling seriously but is not a serious argument for Akainu being stronger than the mere Yonko. Admiral fans who do anything more with this bounty than making fun of clowns who took this shit seriously are stooping to the levels of clowns and liars.

Fujitora having a supreme blade was great, but also not that surprising. His sword was either going to be great or supreme blade so I was very happy by the reveal but not exactly blown away. I guess this moment did elevate the Admirals in the eyes of some.

Kizaru shouting at Akainu wasn’t even that great for the Admiral agenda. Kizaru feeding Luffy was much better than this moment since it confirmed that a distracted Admiral wasn’t taking the strongest Yonko seriously, was not trying to kill him, and explicitly helped him, and the strongest Yonko still ended up looking like complete shit.

Kuzan boxing like Garp was the one that floored me more than all the rest personally. If you would have told me an Admiral achieved the black blade in their spare time 5 years ago, I would have called it a big reach but it was never impossible. If you would have told me a fruitless Admiral would reach the level of prime Garp, I would have checked you into a mental asylum but that’s exactly what Oda did. For me this was really the one I was not at all prepared for.

I feel like you're missing how important it was that Akainu was shown as someone who isn't angry 24/7, and was able to show respect in that moment. A lot of fans have a very one dimensional black and white view of his character, but that scene showed a different side. It also doesn't help that his character has been flanderized in some ways and is usually just yelling or getting mad post time skip, with his new smoking habit showing him as someone who is very stressed etc. Imo it is his best moment in probably a decade.
