Speculations Kizaru will be taken out in Egghead so that the SHs vs Marines matchups will line up nicely

The power hierarchy of the Marines is comparable to the power hierarchy of the Yonko crews. You have the Gensui at the top, who is analogous to the Yonko. You have the 3 Taisho right below him, who are like the 3 Top YCs of the Marines. Note that obviously the Taisho are a lot closer to the Gensui in strength than the All Stars / Sweet Commanders are to Kaido/BM, but the point is that there are 3 guys below the leader but above everyone else. After the Taisho, you have the Zodiac VAs (Momousagi, Chaton, Kurouma, the 4 others), who are a level above the other VAs. Just like how the Flying 6 are above the other headliners.

When you add up Sakazuki, the Taisho, and the Zodiac VAs, you get 11 core members of the Marines. However, there are only 10 SHs, so the numbers are close but don’t quite line up.

This can easily be solved by having Luffy take out Kizaru in Egghead, so that when the SHs take on the Marines, it will be 10 vs 10. Luffy will take on the strongest Marine and the leader, Sakazuki. Zoro and Sanji take out the top 2 henchmen, who are clearly a step above the next strongest Marines. Jinbe, the mid trio, and weak trio take out the 7 Zodiac VAs.
Admirals are the strongest after fleet admiral

SHs just want to flee. Arc is almost over. They didn't fight Hina at the end of Alabasta. Kizaru is for Sanji later. How would defeating him "take him out" even? Luffy doesn't kill. Kizaru wouldn't get fired for being knocked out.

Still not convinced that the Admirals are gonna be the final opponents for the SHs particularly the M3.
Gorosei and IM are clearly the big bads of the series. Plus, the way the SHs are growing particularly Luffy, Admirals are gonna need their awakenings to compete against him imo, and I can't really see them spamming that in a war type scenario like marineford. Hopefully we get to see Kizaru's awakening on Egghead. Also I doubt all the SHs get proper 1 v 1s in the final war. The Grand Fleet is most likely gonna play a major part as well and some of them might end up fighting the so called zodiacs that community are saying are the strongest VAs.
Don't really subscribe to the notion that they are the strongest VAs btw.

Aside for the obvious luffy vs akainu other than that marine matchup is too messy and convoluted for now also in sh crew beside zoro someone like sanji and jinbe is too weak to defeat an admiral in 1v1 then also there is fujitora who could betray wg and also there is sabo and dragon that could fight admiral. Maybe after bb saga we should get a gilmpse who's sh next opponent

Egghead is Kizaru arc : Vegapunk link, Kuma/Pacifista - Seraphims, Sentomaru is here

And Kiz has no other plot line after that among the OG admirals. The scientist plot line was his.

So yeah i don't know what would be the point of having Kizaru fighting in the last war. Narrative wise i think Kiz was made to fight and lose in this arc.

With all due respect, but I think these gentlemen here:

Good thread.

Zodiac Marines are definitely going to be arc opponents, and tbh I'm excited to see what they can do.

Though, I think it is possible that Issho may not fight the Straw Hats at all, and instead Borsalino will make it past Egghead.
Why sacrifice Kizaru in vain when there's a better solution by having Fujitora stand neutral during the conflict?

It will mirror both sides (Marines-BBP) having 10 matchups and one admiral that won't side with them to the end.
Might have a stronger point than Kizaru being defeated in Egghead.

There's also the peers of Luffy's like Kidd, Law, and Sabo to consider come the Final War, as they will take priority ahead of Luffy's crew (just like in Wano). So, while Luffy vs Akainu is a given, Luffy's crew vs Admirals and the Zodiacs are not as likely to happen.

I don’t see Kizaru getting taken out cuz that would mean the WG lose the Seraphim which wouldn’t make much sense.
That would also mean Luffy would be the top candidate ahead of everyone else in the PK race. Oda already went out of his way to stop that from happening after Luffy beat Kaido, and I don’t see any point in reversing that so quickly in the very next arc.

Luffy will remain the underdog right up till Laughtale.
