I did predict that Loki would be weakened this arc (albeit for wrong reasons), so I'm not surprised he was taken out easily this time.
Let's see how he does when he's healed.
Rest is interesting. Sommers is likely a Sanji foe and given the emphasis on "love" with him and Gaban, we might see a new powerup based on that for the cook.
And ofc the hopes of Loki being a villain are dwindling. Unless Oda pulls a double twist somehow?
To be fair, Vegeta was a combination of too necessary and too inconvenient to do anything about.
The only Z Fighter that could beat him was Goku. After the Saiyan Arc, every time Goku was around there was a much bigger problem than Vegeta, Prince of Convenient Alliances. Every time the bigger problem was dealt with, Goku wasn't around anymore to deal with Vegeta.
Vegeta was more begrudgingly tolerated by the rest of the cast than forgiven. Lol.

New prediction, the time we're spending in the Sun Realm/Underworld parts of the tree is just a shorter transition arc like W7 and then the EL will be going to the Heaven Realm where the God Elbaph (was mentioned a quarter of a century ago in Little Garden) resides .
