I don't think they fight each other. In the panel they look next to each other, it doesn't seem that Marco is attacking Peros. It seems they move side by side toward a common

Maybe they made a deal to break the alliance between kaido and BM. Peros doesn't like this alliance too and Marco likely think it is good to not have to deal with 2 Yonko at the same time.

Because they are side by side at the entrance gate.

If they were fighting I think Oda would have given us an hint : like Peros with a bloody face on the floor under Marco's talons

It doesn't seem too that Marco is chasing after Peros.
