Aokiji is most likely stronger than Kizaru. Both were hesitant so it cancels.

Kaido was sandbagging for 90% of that and that was when G4 was Luffy’s strongest form so the writing was a bit different.

The reality is that G4 is going to be Luffy’s jobber form in most top tier battles now.

Say what you want but Oda clearly implied Old Garp is relative to the admirals, and I think he would write basically any admiral (or any top tier for that matter) vs G4 encounter the way he did with Kizaru

Also Kizaru only "punked" it because of his speed. Garp isn't nearly that fast.

Like I said a real battle between them would be a long drawn out fight, if you believe otherwise youre kidding yourself. The ''time limit'' will magically not matter anymore.

Think he'll need another power up for that - G5's time limit's been lampshaded too often now as the only thing holding it back.

Looking at Oda's hints, manga Kizaru vs Luffy was strongly meant to parallel Kizaru vs Rayleigh back in Sabaody.

So I personally feel that old Ray is the best gauge for Luffy's mindset or seriousness.

What about Kizaru vs Kaido poll?

Probably favours Kaido and will become more one-sided as the arc follows.

Casual fans tend to be extremely partial to the OG Yonko in terms of powerscaling.

I’m aware they’re not him nerfing himself, it’s just how he was using them you could tell he was just enjoying the fight for most of the G4 rounds. He even showed he could’ve easily dealt with snakeman whenever he wanted with future sight himself.
