Because Oda made it a point to have the scientists present be shocked and mention this feat defying physics. Because it literally does. So obviously Oda did some research here or that point wouldn't have been made in the scene. Kaido hypes up shanks but wasn't impressed by prime Garling at god valley
Mihawk waits for a swordsman stronger then shanks bur doesn't care about shamrock. People think shanks will fight one of them, but we know he already met with them and doesnt care much, hes built up to fight Blackbeard still. Basically no one in the manga has hyped up their strength ever. I think them fighting Sabo/dragon is most likely but don't complain if Usopp or Buggy ends up fighting one for the "god" meme

I think that spread with the 5 top/god tiers was really just about people he had personally fought and seen as great, respectable people both in terms of reputation and prowess.

Half those characters are frauds anyway, but that's not my point entirely. He has Kaido hype up Shanks and also has Kaido talk about how the nobles of the world don't really know war,meaning Garling didn't impress him at GV. and its pretty much consistent with others at GV too
Sengoku:Only hypes up Roger, Garp and Rocks at GV, doesn't mention Garling
Roger: only hypes up Garp and Sengoku
WB: Only hypes up Roger, Garp and Sengoku
So again, unless this guy has some great achievement, I don't see how I'm wrong. and btw, Shamrock doesn't even have a god valley, I don't think there's any reason to think this guy has fought anyone noteworthy in his life lol
