IMO Fuji's Gravity Fruit lets him sense the world around him like Enel's Fruit did.

Being the "worst" fruit among the Admirals doesn't mean much, his fruit still mogs any other fruit out there. He is nature incarnate, the essence of a logia. As long as you are fighting on land you are on his turf. There's literally no greater advantage than that.

Akainu can make volcanoes, yet we've never seen it on screen
Aokiji can send you back to the ice age, yet he couldn't do that in Hachinosu
Kizaru's strongest firepower was unironically the first laser he shot, just completely nuked a multi town sized mangrove tree
Greenbull still has his black blade too, hidden, untouched. Scabbards Yamato Momo, all stars, all are "rabbits" in Mihawk terms not worth trying against, whether its his logia power or exquisite swordsmanship. He probably swings the sword like a madman but his armament had to get this strong for his devil fruit to work, coated twig was all it took to pierce King.
