The light gloves are designed to be durable for Atlas to punch things. The boots were so fragile Luffy broke them just by running. They just aren't the same thing. Franky also would've learned about such a device offscreen and not have that reaction.

PoL is how Sanji's legs didn't burn preskip. He didn't have CoA haki at Ennies Lobby. Oda also said something in sbs Sanji's flames aren't science.
It's definitely related to this PoL.

Anti Light boots makes perfect sense no matter how hard you're trying to come up with shaky counters.. Ok here, i will give it to you, the Love of All Things, or the Feelings of All Things.. Sure now it's technically a possibility..
