Guernica joined the Kaido vs Luffy fight and no one noticed, now imagine Gaban desperatly giving up after seeing a future of his son getting a lethal wound if he keeps acting offensively

Gunko was fleeing from Gaban, she didn't wanna fight him cuz it meant losing right away. Now imagine if Gaban takes the same amount of time to defeat Gunko as he did to Sommers: She is 100% doing her best to kill the kids who are next to her, fighting Gaban was never in question for her.

You need to try very hard to downplay rusty Gaban here. We could ask many questions about Garp and the ways he could've dealt with Shyriu as well, but context matters

The difference is Garp used CoA on his body, so Shiryu stabbed the infamous "Iron Garp".
While Gunko stabbed defenseless Gaban, so he was taken out easier.

1 second vs 10 seconds. Plus sneaking Sommers and clashing with stems left him pretty exhausted.
This isn't an anti-feat for Gaban, it's a good feat for base Gunko, she knew who he was and was ready to take him out before Colon started yapping.
