Bigger threats than Sommers maybe but as long as Kilingham is conscious the Nightmare Beasts will infinitely respawn making victory impossible

He’s a much bigger threat than pretty much anyone besides Imu
I meant in a physical 1v1 type threat. Barring Imu they are the strongest enemies

Kinda like comparing pica and diamanté to sugar.

while agree bigly with you thats why i thought it would be usopp cause that would mirrior Dressrosa, as Sugar was also the biggest threat there after Doffy and Wusopp needs to shine

Do you guys think the 99 recipes was an abandoned plot point or something Oda never intended to expand on? It's weird how it never came up again after PH. It would have been really interesting to incorporate that into Sanji's fighting style, but I guess Oda lacks imagination.

Oda forgot about it

I guess it is an abandoned plot point. I'm glad they are not part of his fighting style but I must say it would have been cool if one ingredient of the wedding cake, the mink drug Zoro took and whatever Loki is eating were all part of the 99 recipes

I don’t think Oda forgot, I think he changed his mind about it.

Oda has changed his mind about a lot of things in One Piece, probably most notably Haki. Unfortunately he’s also gone away from more DF match ups for the majority of post skip.

In the case of Sanji, I think Haki will become a more prominent part of his arsenal as he rises to match top tier fighters, and especially after be awakens CoC and/or FS.

In essence, if swordsmen and weapons users like Vergo and Gaban can be considered Hakimen, then so will Sanji.

Dorry and Brogy have been set up since Little Garden. So I would go with them for Sanji/Zoro. They are also too strong for the others being 1.8b bounty characters with a huge demon boost. Luffy and Loki are the only others who can fight them but they're going after Imu obviously.

I feel like the HK are good opponents for the other strawhats. They too need to learn how to deal with immortality. Robin vs Sommers was also set up earlier with the whole Saul thing, Ordering to burn library, Flower df vs Thorn df.

Yeah im ngl, Killingham's monsters and Sommers powers seem perfect to put weaker Strawhats to learn Haki and stuff, its about time.

Dorry and Broggy are already worth 1.8 Bi, and got stronger through Domi Reversi, if Oda wants to make us believe Zoro and Sanji are going to have tough fights, then they should face the new kings. My only problem with that is what is Loki and Hajrudin going to do?

Imu is like 99% responsible for whatever happened to their father, so ultimately they should help against Imu. Brooke will as well so it's not like only Luffy will be in that fight. I could see lots of team up fights this arc.

And yeah, Dorry and Brogy are basically the gateway into becoming top tiers. Sanji and Zoro already beat top Yonkou commanders, and opponents like admirals/gorosei are coming up soon. They seem like the perfect middle ground. While with Sommers and Killingham it's still confusing just where they stand once their immortality is no longer an issue.

Yeah and one of my problems with Zoro and Sanji facing Sommers and Killingham lies on how easily Gaban dealt with Sommers.

So to have Zoro and Sanji have a potential hard time against these guys at this point in the story feels like a let down... I mean, Gaban is super strong and shit, despite being rusty, it felt way too easy. Is Oda willing to make it look like the gap between current Zoro and Sanji and these old legends are considerable? Feels odd to me... unleeeess, they don't give Z and S that much trouble other than both trying to learn how to counter their immortality, that could work out because fighting someone who doesn't take any damage would be hard...

The problem is Dorry and Broggy have gotten immortal too lol

Killingham and Sommers is too much for rest of SHs. They have immortality, Gunko before Imu enhanced her, had already captured all of them together in one swoop.

I wish Z/S face against the Giants, but Killingham and Sommers might just be it. HKs are also the ones truly evil and need to be defeated.
Jarul/Jinbei help could face against one of them Dorry/Broggy, and Hajrudin is also there with rest of new generations giants to face the other. They need to hold them off until Luffy defeats Gunko.

Never underestimate how much plot armor oda will give the straw hats.

Tbh, I am not a fan of oda drawing parallels between Roger pirates Metal trio and SHs M3.

We already know SHs are meant to do what to Roger pirates were unable to. They are destined for it.

But drawing parallels or shall I say, portraying characters as if they are similar, irks me.

Kind of takes away the unique personalities of characters.
