Watasuki is his name @Cobra. He's an absolute beast, a tigré to be more specific.

I'm not sure of the release date for season 3 but I can tell you that if you have enjoyed the anime, you will most definitely love the manga.
Tbh when i first saw him i 100% thought Cosmo would be stronger for some reason.

My favorites aside from Ohma are Gaolong, Fang, Gensai and for fun Lihito. Of course Kazuo as well.

ngl I enjoyed the power scuffles between each corporations behind the scenes just as much as the fights.
Yeah I loved the dynamics between each group leaders and how it all played out. Nogi was playing chess while everyone else was playing checkers.:catrude:

I also enjoyed the reveal as to why the current chairman hosted the tournament in the first place, and how easily he bodied that rat loool. Mind games bro.

I love the manga, but I'm on the fence with the anime. The 3D cell shaded look is kind of off-putting.:kayneshrug:
I suffered through the anime purely for the fact that it was Kengan.

The fbs were butchered. The fighting/ impacts of hits were massively reduced. Also like Zowo has said on discord, some scenes have been completely wiped out, and names of the moves have been omitted.

The anime is sub par at best with Ohma vs Raian being their best piece of work. I actually enjoyed that one for it felt very intense.

Gonna disagree here, the fights were well done and fluid, just the impact/brutality is missing, of course cgi is not for everyone but i imagine if it was 2d it could’ve been even worse (there’s a reason why they went with cgi after all, it’s cheaper). For me, a fighting series is always better in anime form.

Just like Initial D’s races are better in the anime regardless of the manga quality, it just works better when things are actually in motion. Imo at least lol

Lmao my imagination must have been wild tho, cus anime disappointed me quite a bit.

I think it's probably because I had higher hopes personally for the series.

One of the worst points in the anime for me was the fbs. I was pretty frustrated when the fbs got ruined. Learning about the different backgrounds of each character were all great moments in the manga for me.

Ngl, I couldn't make it past the first 2 episodes. Like you, I know what greatness Kengan holds, but it was very distracting. When done right, CGI in anime looks absolutely amazing. Take Steamboy for exactly, traditionally animated characters set in a living, breathing CGI world. If Kengan looked like that, I'd be all in. @BigChungus2018 makes me want to give it another shot though, so I think go for round 2 this weekend.
