Oden knew that Luffy and co were coming to liberate the world 20 years from now… when Oden says “no one will stop Kaido for a long time”… He’s not like making a power scaling statement about how well anyone can possibly do fighting Kaido… He’s saying HE LITERALLY KNOWS THE GODDAMN FUTURE… He knows the dawn is 20 years in the future so that’s all that matters
remember that Oden could have escaped prison and fought Kaido AGAIN… He chose not to… He literally decided he should get executed since he was fully on that Nika Prophecy dick
I’m gonna be honest I’ve never understood the “that character not being a conqueror would make his character more interesting people”. It seems absolutely counter intuitive to what oda is writing in his story 2 points I’ll address.
1. Rayleigh tells us- most people who’ve made a name for themselves possess it. Yes I know most does not mean all, but we basically now have our current era xebec in teach who we know was not only a conqueror but also able to fight both Roger and garp.
2.chinjao tells luffy to his face there are countless ahead with the qualities of a king pk stands atop of them he also tells us teech has a lot of potential
these two points alone just seem to be enough in itself that the top top tiers will have it and luffy has to surpass them.

Tbh, even though kiz fits but I still feel just like the most here that Shanks is the one who is getting killed.

BB had ID warden and an admiral under him, so perhaps he would kill a yonkou? Shanks vs BB is quite a thing which needs to be resolved.

Man, the statement is nothing more than Oden openly admitting that there's no one capable of defeating Kaidou, and that those who are will only appear 20 years in the future. How the hell is that not power scaling?
