I always thought Shanks and Straw Hats would do a Davy Back, so Luffy and Shanks could fight without having to get really violent with each other's crews.

Even now this is all just Shanks hype really if you think about it, Shanks took down Loki, Harald who got defeated by Loki is sharing a CoC clash with Xebec like they are PrimeBeard and Roger. It's always Shanks Oda is making look good.
