Superman (2025): first 30 minutes were quite bad. Then it gets better.

Superman is kinda weak, I thought it was because he was trying to restrain himself and not do too much damage (that was one of the critics made for the Snyder movies) but no, he's just weak.

I liked Mr Terrific and Lex Luthor. Not so much Lois Lane and Hawkgirl (her screams were ridiculous lol).

Overall better than I expected, okayish movie I'd say.
If you liked Man of Steel, how would you say the new one compares to it?

I won't share my letterboxd here (because yall will discover my real name), but these are my 15 favorites movies of all time:
I’m pretty sure you gave enough data to let you be tracked down fella. Fortunately, I have better things to do than this lol

As for the list itself. I guess I’ve seen more than half of it and I only enjoyed once upon America stuff.

I haven’t seen Du Cote D’Orouet but I saw his other film Adieu Philippine which didn’t stimulate me very much to be honest.

But the list is nice because it feels like it reflects your tastes like it’s personal so that’s cool. And the films are respectable. Just me who don’t get arouse by them

1) dogs bark, cats meow and stalkers stalk
2) taste talk is useless
3) I LOVE Adieu Philippine. Jacques Rozier is great, his movies "Maine Ocean Express" and "The Castaways of Turtle Island" are also good
4) Once Upon a Time in America is the greatest mafia movie ever

Two completely different approaches. In fact it almost felt like Gunn tried to to the exact opposite of Man of Steel with this one.

But in the end it felt like Guardians of the Galaxy without Chris Pratt's charm.

So imo Man of Steel is better and aged better. I like the interactions between characters a lot more in MoS. But it's normal, Man of Steel explored Superman's origins and it takes its time to do it.

Forgot to say I saw the FNAF movie recently too. Way better than I ever expected it to be, genuinely the best video game to movie adaptation I've seen (probably).

They got so many things faithful to the franchise and executed it all with so much respect, charm, love, passion and whimsy.

Even though it was a PG13, it was brutal as hell, even showing a guy with his face shredded off uncensored.

Matthew Lilliard nailed his roles and was perfect casting. Can't wait for him to get a Scream movie reunion with Skeet (what a name) in the next film. The fact a trilogy is confirmed and the sequel looks so fan-freddy-tastic makes me really happy for a rare change. I'm not even a mega fan of Fnaf but I'm getting way more into it thanks to the movie.

I'm trying to avoid spoilers but there were genuinely funny and heartfelt moments in the film. Some great humour. Even vrry tame jumpscares used as humour and a running gag. The cameos from MatPat and CoreyxKenshin were great even though I'm not fans of theirs, they fitted into the movie well, they did a great job and Mat had some witty meta humour on his part too.

It's a real shame Markiplier couldn't be in it, but the guy who replaced him did a phenomenal job and really sold the absolutely terrifying horror of the animatronics. if you find the right videos or watch the film at least, it shows utterly frightening, brutal and cruel the animstronics are but this film also humanised them incredibly and made them sympathetic and nuanced too.

I really expected it to suck snd be cringe but I got the exact opposite. Having the creator involved really does make the difference.

Jim Hensons company did astounding work with the animatronics too.

Also the Shaggy jokes with Matthew and the absolute irony of his role really made me laugh my ass off too.

Gonna watch the Nicolas Cage FNAF ripoff film Willy's Wonderland now too lmao. Also looking to watch the Banana Splits horror film "parody" (which some believe was meant to be the FNAF movie originally too), which is gonna be awkward as I grew up on that show too.

What next, a horror film with Brum? Oh godamnit nvm lmao:

What next too? Teletubbies? Art Attack? (Heart Attack lol.) Bob the Builder? Thomas the Tank- wait nvm I just remembered that extremely fucked up creepy pasta thing with Thomas too *shudders*.
