I think he did it because F&F are not so "evil" and they will be alies in the battles against them?
Maybe Ignia doesn't have any use for them anymore and they will side with the humans after they realize how evil true dragons can be

I hope Faris means herself with "Acnologia".
I don't want that he returns as a villain because since Gold Owl arc the fights are really bad, worse than Alvarez. If he returns, he will be a Elfman or Gajeel victim or so.
The only good way would be if his will takes Faris body and he will train Natsu etc, because he respects them for the victory about him. So that his role is only a support role as a trainer for the good guys or so.
As a villain, he would get the same treatment like the other DG, image how Elfman or Gajeel defeats Acnologia
Overall this chapter was boring, at least Bestia was defeated and Elefseria returned lol
I think Natsu or Wed will eat Bestia flames or maybe both of them? And both of them will get a power up?
Whats the name of this arc again? True dragon festival arc right? So far I don't see that, it's even worse than the GMG dragon festival.
I still think that both Faris and Ignia will not be the final enemy so I think Ignia will defeat Faris and later Natsu will defeat Ignia.
Or maybe one of the 5 dragons on Ignias side can use soul magic (I think one of them was called soul dragon?) and will take "Acnologias soul" from Faris away and give this power Ignia.
Then the dragon will defeat Faris or Lucy or so.

Yeah I think that too it would at least make sense.
Imo the best would be if each guild will help the DS against one of the dragons
Sting, Saber and Erza against Scissor?
Rogue, maybe Mermaid Heel and Gray against Levia?
Cobra, OS and Jellal vs the Rock dragon?
Gajeel Lamia and Lucy vs Anchor?
Wendy and FT vs Motherglare?
Ignia vs Faris?
Natsu I don't know, maybe because of bestias flames he will be evil too?
I also don't know what role Diabolos will play or Elefseria, Athena and Brandish?
My biggest fear is that FT and especially team Natsu will fight them alone. That would be really boring and lame...
