Animation was "ok" at best compared to what toei usually does and it didn't capture the impact it should have compared to manga, it simply felt like another moment
90% of reactors have this as their thumbnail. It’s The Best Scene of the episode. It’s not Toei’s best work but it’s The best scene of the episode. Toei did great with the scene. Anime watchers will remember this moment.

Again it’s not the best but far from the worst. Best episode since we got out of the Kuma flashback.
The episode had good animation direction in General tbh. It’s not just Sanjis scene.

I saw sparks when he was charging like you said and when he transformed his hands into giant hands and then nothing when he was hitting Saturn, I can understand Oda not drawing it excuse but the anime should have no issue doing it.
Kaido didnt say he always uses it, just that he was using it at the time that he was fighting him and we could see the ACoC when he was hitting Kaido in G5.
And no sparks or anything when hes charging in the manga:

I'm saying if you're using the anime for CoC confirmations, if anything, a change was made where they drew massive CoC streaks when Luffy was charging the attack when they weren't in the manga. Which would imply Kaidou was suggesting G5 is always infusing CoC in his attacks (not saying this is what he said for a fact).
That's the only inference we got from this episode.

Fair enough. But the streaks werent there when he made contact and thats what I was pointing at. When he was making contact with Kaido there were streaks not present when hes hitting Saturn.
I guess I wont be using this for confirmation then. Manga is enough for me.
Saturn is such a cool looking and intimidating villain. Oda fumbled the ball bad here, he kept Nusjuro or the worm alive but got rid of this final boss tier villain

Literally done by some of the best regulars on the show.
Again, its not a terribly big scene in the manga.

The episode was a big step up from last week.
Actually had some more consistent animation throughout, and the animation and art direction was really polished throughout for the most part.
It was better than last week which only really had Shida's scene.
This episode had nice bits scattered throughout.
The giants attacking was actually pretty alright to start off the ep.
Lucci vs Zoro was not half bad and had some nice movements in part.
The pacifista's which looked atrocious last episode were actually animated again.
Luffy's attack on Saturn was pretty solid and had a really strong finish.
And Sanji's scene was also really good. Wasn't anything overstated though, since Luffy's finish on Saturn was clearly the big action focus of the episode.
And throughout, for the close ups especially the art was really polished, with nice little snippets of animation even in small scenes like a Pacifista firing a laser, or Saturn attack the blackbeard pirates.
The episode was a bit slow, but thats typical I'd think.
Overall, not a great episode, but a solid B tier sort of episode.
