Kizaruber Eats

Lobster Pain and Zoidberg the GOATS
You know, it was odd how ACoC was rarely used in Egghead but I liked the use of DF in this arc and how Luffy had to deal with enemies whom he couldn't even truly damage.

Then in Elbaf when the Holy Knights were also immortal, we got from Gaban this "You can't hurt them? ACoC is the key baby" instead of some creative way to damage the Holy Knights. So what are the other strawhats supposed to do? Sitting on their ass while the ACoC guys fight the immortal warriors?
Exactly man. The Seraphims and Kizaru made things so much better in that regard. Awakened Lucci and Kaku made me foolishly believe Oda was gonna repeat what he did in Impel Down but build on it better.

But as you said, it's all gone downhill with elbaph and the holy shites. Shanks seemingly having their mark before has caused sp many problems now too. Not to mention the fucking Shamrock blatant retcon, damage control, twist reveal nonsense too.

Haki just keeps ruining everything especially since Wano. Oda can't decide if DF or haki are the ultimate power and keeps contradicting himself.

The story just feels like DBZ lite/Naruto late game /Bleach in this regard now too.

I really hate that countering the Immortality comes down to ACoC. It makes sense but I hate it. It's so lazy and predictable. Not to mention the issues you just raised too ofc.

Most of the SHs who are generally haki less anyway will continue to be useless as they were when Gunko soloed them esaily, including ex Warlord Jinbei sigh.

Enough with the all I miss the pre-timeskip talk. It's tiring. Stop living in the past people

But fishman island is the worst arc of OP

There are a lot of great post time skip arcs
Great is very subjective there lol. If the arcs were much shorter I'd agree more. Specifically Dressrosa, WCI and Wano.

I completely agree about FMI, it's completely irredeemable for many, many reasons . Thinking about it literally makes me feel sick and cringe. Doesn't help the games keep reusing their outfits from it too.

Doffy is an opportunist, his main goal would be to dethroned Imu. Meaning a betrayal arc aka plenty of opportunities for Oda to white wash Doffy

I rather not take the risk
Doffy is an ambitious weakling relative to his chief competitors. He’s effectively Orochi in a world of Emperors and stronger

Living is opportunity. Proximity is opportunity.

Becoming a Holy Knight falls well within Doflamingo’s character to do.

Again, what whitewashing?

Ace wanted to kill Whitebeard at first but ended up becoming his son. So it's not impossible for Doffy to serve someone he wanted to usurp. Not that he'll become a HK though, that's a dumb theory. If he ever came back he's just going to be a fighter in Cross Guild.

The adventure part is what’s died post timeskip.
the adventure part has never been stronger or more interesting. Dressrosa into WCI into Zou into Wano into Egghead into Elbaf is the best stretch of adventure shonen manga ever. Every island was more interesting than the last one and more interesting than anything pre timeskip.

Plus this fucker really says "ThEn ReAd KeNgAn AsUrA iF yOu WaNt FiGhTs" when I criticised the uninspiring, dull and boring 124234 haki clashes when previous One Piece battles were about unique use of DF and weaknesses.

Dude, nobody says fights should be the priority. I'm saying fighting should be more focused like before when characters actually used their brain in fights instead of some Haki dickmeasuring contest. I'm sure this guy wasn't bitching when Luffy was using Crocodile's weakness against him and he sure wouldn't bitch either way if we got more creative and good choreography fights again.

Oda pulls all this shit because of glazers like that guy...
The fights are good. The mass battle against Kaido was better than the wacky Crocodile comedy fights that only got serious at the very end. The 1v1 vs Katakuri was better than any single Luffy fight pre-timeskip and made the Lucci fight look like a joke. You talk like you want every little minor battle to be a 5 chapter event. So go read a fighting manga if you want that.

CoC: Color of Clowns

Do you Serve the People or the creepholes?
Imagine my pain when I saw how 2 huge 3D modern Zelda games completely shat on the unique dungeon formula which the previous Zelda titles used before. :josad:
I want the next Zelda to be in a Breath of the Wild style, but with two big focus:

1. A musical element that is well thought out and core to the game like the Ocarina (the Harp from Skyward Sword can fall off a sky island)

2. Dungeons that limit the gear you can use. Biggest issue with Shrines/Dungeons is the amount of tools in the game make it hard to devise puzzles that you can't cheese/break easily. The solution?

Limit the tools the player has access too. Make it so that each Dungeon has lines that automatically negate the use of certain items when you cross them, or even like a locker you have to put your gear in.

Put the focus back on Dungeons having core mechanics, rather than being grab-bag use-everything to solve this fests.

This has been a recurrent problem through the series, though, with cool items like Twilight Princesses Spinner having shit-use outside of a few areas.

Aside from a few that really disgusted me, Skyward Sword's level design in Dungeons/Puzzle Areas is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much better than BOTW/TOTK.

TOTK teasing the sky crap so much, for it to feel so disconnected and tiny, annoyed me, and then the entire Sky Dungeon is just FUCKING RAIN AND LIGHTNING

its not just tiring its unbelievable and stupid. the same complaints all these people make would be made then. they'd be whining every time the crew did anything because oda is wasting time not progressing the plot. they'd whine every time someone spent 2 chapters on a fight with zero story relevance because oda is wasting time on fodder. they'd whine every time something got set up for later because oda is dropping plotlines and forgetting to end every little thing in the same arc

ToTK not utilizing underwater for a fucking water temple was maniacal to me lmao.

Every other temple fits their theme well. Wind is in the sky/ship. Thunder is in the desert/pyramid. Fire is under a volcano. Water is....again in the sky lol? Even the 5th temple was creative enough in the underground.

But fishman island is the worst arc of OP

There are a lot of great post time skip arcs
fishman island is the highest sales the series ever got, has one of the most realistic and interesting villains, and was very satisfying to see the straw hats win and dominate after a training timeskip, and has great lore on ancient weapons and roger's history etc

the takes on fmi are how i know most of the online fanbase are just dumbasses who cant read and dont understand what makes stories good. if they wrote fmi the straw hats would train for 2 years and then immediately lose to some fucking sardines

No it’s not nostalgia, at least not for me
I reread the pre ts arcs because I wanted to know if nostalgia blinded me
Pre ts OP is sooooo much better, I enjoyed it a lot
The SHC members have a better dynamic, are better characters, each of them has importance and they feel alive
The comedy is peak
The art is way cleaner and the panelling too
The side characters are actually important
and there’s a feeling of adventure
Even old 90s TV shows from before my birth were better than most mid 2000 s shows. Sometimes old productions are just better.

It can't be the worst arc of OP when there is Wano.
the worst arc of OP is baratie because its half stuff thats actually important and then what feels like 20 chapters of literally nothing that will ever matter again, ever, like the insanely long and dragged out and pointless fight with Don Krieg, the entire existence of Pearl, everything Sanji does with Gin except feed him etc. The only good thing the live action did was realize that 90 percent of that arc didnt matter and the only things that did were sanji's flashback and mihawk.

nothing post timeskip wastes time like pre-timeskip arcs do

You don’t understand what white washing is? Meaning Oda will find ways to make him less evil, a betrayal plot is literally ripe for that

how many times do I have to fucking repeat myself LMAO

Kaido, one fight and another grave opened, nothing new.

Kaido vs Oden = Oden dead.
Kaido vs Hyogoro’s family = 16 dead.
Kaido vs the Daimyō = 3 dead.
Kaido vs Kozuki Moriah = Massacre, with Moriah’s grave included.
Kaido vs Luffy = Luffy dead and resurrecting as the next Jesus Christ.
Kaido vs CP-0 Agent = Killed with a single blow.

The guy is a killing machine.
Look at that DC of the sedentary Moriah, this guy got PTSD and was destroyed by Waidou with a grave to boot.:steef::steef::steef:
