its funny how people say Oda does not care about Powerscaling while Oda has clear set rules he follows in any fight ever or clear cut statments that are 100% facts. like when Oda thinks 2 people are equal but 1 has to win there is always a reson why thats the case he then makes a in story reson why that person lost there. the problem with people overall is that they seem to ignore the most basic staments Oda makes in the story for children because it does not fit they agenda.

Sommers feels more like a Robin opponent. Oda seems like he’s been setting her up to finally be able to “beat him” (probably just BFR or trap him).

And Killingham is a very clear Usopp opponent.

Oda made sure to hype Dory and Brogy above them and Zoro and Sanji will always fight the two strongest subordinates

Sommers was humiliated twice, I can see why some Sanji fans don't want to see Sanji fight Sommers unless Sanji low diffs him.

Powerscaling wise it might be a letdown but narratively I think a matchup between Sanji and Sommers would be fun

Sanji cooking him after all the pain he’s caused (and with his ability directly interacting with love as an emotion) would be great

Dunno how Oda would make things work with Kilingham and Zoro but he has a cool trident thing so that fits as far as Zoro opponents go

People being nerfed by wounds was never a thing beside maybe early One Piece, people always us they strongest atatck at 1hp. so yeh I think People trying to downscale Kuzan based on it makes no sense

Sommers won't get a full fight. Oda isn't even trying to sell him as a threat; he's a villain closer to Jack and Lucci than Queen or King. The kind of fight he'd get would be something along the lines of Zoro vs. Lucci, where everything happens offscreen and ends in two pages.
