This is not unlike what happened to the depiction of alcohol and cigarettes.
Older cartoons still had them, iirc the Disney Pinocchio film shows the young characters become unwell from smoking and the color of their face changing to green or grey.
Nowadays we can't even have NEGATIVE depictions of such things that have the power to act as a deterrent to young audiences.
It certainly shaped the way my young mind thought about the dangers of substance abuse.

Hamas is a group of resistance. No political group is perfect and war crime or authoritarism happens, even in groups like that. But they are a resistance anyway and still legitimated by the current state of colonization, the appartheid and the genocide.

It's perfectly unethical and unfair to ask for a population to reject one of the only resistance group that fight their oppressor.

This stance is dehumanizing, racist, imperialist and depoliticizing. It completely denies the agency of a population.

Who the fuck are we to impose to a population what is good or not for them?

And, I don't know whether you people realize it or not, but there is a massive hurdle in the statehood of Palestinians.

First, they need to meet the criteria of statehood as per Montevideo Convention and as of now, biggest missing link is a unified government in Palestine.

Even if you overlook this then biggest hurdle comes from the west itself - regardless of the government because US and most of it's allied European nations always had similar stance


Hurdle is without Security council recommendation, UN General Assembly cannot admit Palestine.

And, US will simply veto it in security council as it has done in 2011 under Obama.

And, Palestinians need UN membership as a state to get universal recognition or you can say they need - Majority votes in security council with no Veto for UNGA to admit Palestine as the state.
