It was not just Nakama thread, but the actual first political thread of this forum.
Nope. The nakama thread was the first thread that had you as a regular poster.
Yamato vs Carrot is not any more political than any other fandom wars.
Your presence in a thread doesn't make it inherently political.

😂 hahaha

we can post memes and music here right?
:wellwell:

That's what you don't get.

Any fandom wars is a political conflict.

Zoro vs Sanji is one of the biggest political conflict in the fanbase

:funky:

It was not just Nakama thread, but the actual first political thread of this forum.

That's actually something the moderation didn't understand and the reason why this thread was so much fun for me.

People were fighting for their candidate and by extention the values of their candidate, but they were also targetting the values of adversaries and other candidates, they was the hypocrits, the conservatists and the progressist just like they were trolls and racists or toxic people..

And in the middle. Carrot VS Yamato a conflict, opposing two completely opposite characters, that was mirroring the election happening between Trump and Biden:

- On one hand, people who were defending a character for completely biased reasons:

No actual narrative relevancy and based on actual virilist value (people who were defending Yamato were refusing their/her/his transidentity and only accepted her because she was the daughter of ..... )

- On the other side there was me (and maybe one or two people I don't remember), with a lot of biases, yes, but also a quasi scientific method trying to understand and prove a point of view with (I kid you not) at least 50 word pages of actual theorycrafting work never released on a global theory about the character.

> I was the one called delusionnal / missguided / not knowledgable / toxic ... while facing an army of people insulting me all day long trying to prove something based on wind (but actually mostly trying to prove that I was wrong because I did most of the actual defense of Yamato).

And I faced that WITHOUT EVEN ONE single insult directed at people (the pigeon thing was never an insult) and was still threadban 3 times lmao (and perma banned to this day, I think they are scared that I go full political on the thread again)

:optimistic:

It was as close as political as it can get. A real conflict of values. It's in fact because of this thread that I asked TAC for a new political section outside of this political thread. (even if for the moment, it's not used so much because carefully hidden)

In the end I was proven wrong (I still wonder about a few stuff...) but this was a very fun political time, I think it helped me a little to maintain a routine, but I wont do that again, it took all my energy
No more sister wars

Since you like Carrot, do you like Judy Hopps @Logiko
You made me search the name on google, that's should be tell you what you need to know

(And I watched Zootopia lol > Didn't really like it tho)

Then why is Carrot vs Yamato more political to you than any other fandom war?
What makes the nakama thread
Because this is the one thread were an actual battle took place in a political way more than just a fandom way. Simply because I shade a political on it the very first day I came on this forum.

I fought with a political agenda in mind more than a fanbase one, as I was not only fighting for Carrot but for the toxicity against Carrot to stop which actually transformed (in less than a month) into a political fight against this forum to recognize toxicity as a problem (which I'm still trying to do). Hence, my opposition was also political as said opposition considered the toxicity around carrot and carrot fans as legitimated.

And you can still see here and there the remains of that conflict and the hate against Carrot transformed took the form of a funny club:

What is Crocodile vs Enel ? :DeepThink:
It depends, I need to see the arguments. But it can also become political yes.

As long as people try to defend their own candidate based on specific values, it will becomes political even if it's just subtly.

Dude it is actually crazy now that I realised a throw away Yamato line was turned into a huge cover story
Fun fact, people at the time were saying that this line was simply "Yamato wanting to do like Oden" meaning going out to sea... meanwhile we were telling them.. "yeah maybe, but Oden journeyed his country first lol" > Which was one of our arguments against her recrutment.

When I look back, I was actually defending Yamato too

:shocking:

The irony...
