The Vivre card is where we first learned that Page one and Ulti were raised by Kaido and their father was a Kaido ally who died in the past this was all later confirmed by Oda directly in the SBS

so Oda does tell the editors SOME things.

It’s just that there’s something that are either made up by Editors or Oda himself doesn’t think that much about them when telling the editors and later he changes his mind about them

Or oda simply doesn't remember everything or retconned it.

World building in one piece is massive so it's likely not to remember every minor detail. And, it's not possible to map every plot in detial in advance as well. Blue print yes...but all the details? Nope

So, oda will retcon things as he will map story in details with each chapter
