I don't know enough about Bengladesh political context. Even if globalization is strong, I don't think that we can compare the entire world to one political compass.

Via defintion, core values, and historical context, I'm accurately a leftist. I could be lean more center in Europe. Any examples that does not require assumptions and personal standards to say otherwise?
I thought Bernie Sanders was lefty though. From what I know at least. Isn't being against trickle down economics left-wing ?
Where would Mamdani be ?
What are we talking about btw exactly ? A country's standards as a society OR politicians/senate/assembly ?
I believe these can be different even if the people supposedly directly vote for their representation.
In the US, the political system is rigged to a two party system. I'm sure you have a big chunk of lefties in the US but they won't be represented in Senate.

Bernie isn't anti-capitalist. He simply believes capitalism is too unregulated and needs to be reigned in. Trinkle down economics wasn't a thing until the 80s, and is simply heavily unregulated capitalism. Since the US is so far up the deep end in capitalism, basic humanitarianism seems radical.
Not only did I not say nor imply trans people aren't human, it is not even my belief. Christianity teaches trans individuals are fully human, they are made in God's image and are owed their own dignity, although their dysphoria should not be entertained.

Pretty much yea, complete lack of out-group empathy, refusal to recognize your biases, refusal to even question yourself, dehumanizaing rethoric of marginalized, reactionnary rethoric etc.
A person that see the horrors of capitalism and the evidences that regulations do not negate said horrors... and says "nope, I still believe in regulation".. is not a direct ally to leftism. Class conscience and struggle is the basic necessity of leftism.
It's a question of who we choose to fight with and who we fight against.
@Logiko NFP was left wing despite having the sore losers from the PCF and the PS. Green party is lefty as in socdem and LFI is like whatever new constitution written by the people for a more democratic republic. I don’t see much socialism in there tbh. What does ancap even stand for in the end ? Ancap isn’t an ideology in itself, you need precise words and structured theories like certain kinds of socialism or whatever

NFP Nouveau Front Populaire, alliance of the 4 left wing parties known as Parti Communiste Français, Parti Socialiste, Green Party and La France Insoumise.
