There's some very interesting episodes but its quite a slow burn and feels kinda more like a slice of life series. Makes me think of trying to watch Lucky Star when I was new to anime and trying to see why people were obsessed with it and it has such a loud, energetic intro too lol.
But I've been struggling with it too, but the ending might make you tear up a little at least. It reminds you its a noir series or so. Even the first episode hit me hard like that and there are some other episodes like episode 6 which has the "immortal kid" or something which ended quite hard and imo a
hell of a foreshadowing type episode too.
I think its more of a product of its time, it set a new style/genre effectively, its a pioneer series but its also very slow paced and hasn't aged well for a lot of people unfortunately.
I tried to get into Black Lagoon too, I was drawn to it because of Revy and Balalaika but I did kinda struggle with it too but I know it gets MUCH darker later on (I heard why too and l was like HOLY FUCK lol but it is a Seinen series ofc).
Bebop has some amazing music for the intro and ending, its more subtle and poignant, there's profoundness to it but it will either grab your or it doesn't. I totally understand about it not grabbing/appealing to you. I did really enjoy some parts of it and Black Lagoon and I'm gonna try to give both series another try and finish them. Episode 6 of Bebop hit me hard and I had to dwell on it for a brief while, kinda like how Death Parade kept fucking me up with every single episode and overall too lmao. Death Parade my extremely depressing, morally horrifying beloved.
Yeah, Cowboy Bebop just isn’t for me. It’s too much of a slow burn, and there are a million other shows out there that won’t make me feel like I’m about to fall asleep.
I also didn’t finish Black Lagoon, same problem with it. Death Parade was peak though

Completely understandable and fair man ofc. HELL YEAH TOO! I LOVE DEATH PARADE SO FUCKING MUCH! I really want a 2nd season so bad and to get some mysteries solved but also more of the characters I love and more of the games/trials ofc! God I cried so much by the ending of that series and I'd gladly do it again!
I need to prioritise watching shows again, because when I do, I often really enjoy them so much and get so immersed in them. I'm gonna be rewatching Reaper and Pushing Daisies soon, 2 series I absolutely adore as some of my faves ever, but also gonna be watching Dead Like Me after I LOVED the movie so much (gonna rewatch the movie too even though I wait MANY years to rewatch anything regardless) and whatever else I just forgot again lmao. Oh yeah Alice in Borderland will be one. I tried Darwin's Game and High Rise Invasion and god those were disappointing and infuriating....
Nah, no way Sabo is gambling that his little brother will be able to survive Doflamingo, especially when he's being carried and visibly looks like shit, over the good of Dressrosa. It doesn't fit his character.

Death Parade was great, I miss that show. Why’d you have to remind me??? Lol, jk. Hope we get a second season, we‘ll probably never get it though
Yeah, Alice in Borderland was fucking fun, binged a season and a half with some friends like 2 years ago or something. I plan to check out the new one soon. Speaking of Death Parade and Alice, both shows have similar vibes ngl
He's referring to the Navy not Sabo when he says "it ain't our place" lol, not him/Sabo.

Kaido grouped Oden and Rival Man despite Rival Man low diffing Oden on panel. Kaido is just a retard that only those with exceptionally low IQ take seriously.
I hope its not genetics/lineage related to simply "fate/prophecy" but I fear its exactly those.
With Kaido saying to Luffy "so you couldnt be Joyboy either", it felt like Kaido was actually referring to himself too, lamenting on his regrets of not being able to become Joyboy, especially when his fruit was meant to be a "benevolent" guardian deity and he used it for evil ironically lol.
Roger said he was too early when he found the One Piece but some people think its just due simply to the Nika fruit
Yeah, YYH is fun as hell. I hope they make a remake and keep the OG songs, those were good. I saw that a lot of the other old school animes like Ranma are getting remakes.
YES, that would be great! I've not really seen remakes preserve stuff like that, I LOVE the new OP in the Ranma remake but I miss some of the classic OST, OPs and EDs so much. (Oh god I still need to watch the remake im such a fake Ranma fan /s.) The Ranma remake is AMAZING though, I was crying at the beauty of it, just before it was revealed too, I saw someone recreate a scene from it in 3D using Blender and making it look just like 2D animation and it was astounding! Blew me away!
Ah it was fucking Rubberross too LMAO!: (edit - herpaderp, he just showcased the video lmao, I love to confuse/gaslight myself. It was someone else who made the video ofc.)
*edit* This is what I was meant to show SMH lol:

Another legendary Aussie animator like the Red Force Podcast twins! When I was mixed with the OP youtubers back in the day, the RFP guys Christian and Eric were constantly really nice and friendly to me, always greeting me when they saw me on stream chats and such. Their talent is phenomenal, I've never seen anyone look Shanks far more amazing than they have but ironically I think its Eric who has done some work for Toei on One Piece and thus with Shanks? I saw him talking about working with/for Toei ages ago on Twitter and I know Toei were getting foreign animators to help with Gear 5th in the anime and such? Something like that?
But yeah the Red Force Podcast guys fucking rock. God tier animators.
LMAO MY BAD! The greatest tragedy of the series ironically is that we still don't have a sequel/2nd season LMAO.
There was supposed to be a snooker prequel OVA for it too that led to the anime being funded and created IIRC? I need to find that, I think its just called Death Billiards or something?
I thought I heard rumours of a season 2 many years ago and I've been waiting in anticipation but now I look it up....THERE'S NOTHING! Just as you said ofc...
Just like Skies of Arcadia, Timesplitters, Monsters Inc (it was meant to have a sequel with an older Boo, the real world being the focus, Randall in the real world etc), Beyond Good and Evil, The Wolf Among Us, Muramasa The Demon Blade, Sengoku Basara etc, why must the things I love suffer in limbo?! (Well one of the simple answers is they're not popular or "financially viable" enough depending on what it is ofc.)
You definitely need to check out Alice in Borderland @Kizaruber Eats
It’s like Squid Game but with a better ending, at least in season 2. I don’t know what tf happens in the new one since the last season already wrapped everything up nicely.
Joy boy's literally stares at a Moria victim cockroach like Ryuma and kills him and his entire blood line.
Imu shits on the worthless inferior of Moria, Ryuma.
Either Joy Boy or Imu shit stomp worthless fodder cyrano victim Ryuma. Cope.
