inb4 Imu takes control of Akainu so we can have both Imu and Akainu vs Luffy since people keep claiming both fights can't happen in the series for x reason
Logically I think Elbaf will end with Shamrock coming back and him and a set GKs losing to Luffy's group, while the rest fall to Dragon. It makes sense given the unfinished business he has with Loki and the fact that Elbaf Giants are convinced Shanks cut them down with Luffy acting concerned. These scenes have no meaning this arc of they dont pay off and the Giants realise it wasnt Shanks that harmed them.
With this im convinced he comes back and is dealt with here. Beyond the fact that its painfully obvious Gunko will be freed from Imu because of Brook and I cant see how Imu doesnt try and get her back by sending more GKs.
Then when the Yonko start clashing (i.e. Shanks vs Blackbeard), its the perfect time for Luffy to fight Akainu and his Admirals because this is what gets implied several times about how the Marines (i.e. Koby, Ryokugyuu, etc) have stakes in stopping Luffy or Shanks from getting One Piece.
After that its obviously Blackbeard (One Piece) and Imu (the World). Oda has been moderately straight forward with his progression and IMO this is how the endgame will be structured because Oda has yet to actually deviate from his arc and escalation structure. Even though Egghead ended unorthodox, it still ended with Kizaru and Saturn fighting Luffy and "losing", however you want to frame it.
Tldr:
- Shamrock at Elbaf
- Akainu at Lodestar
- Blackbeard at Laugh tale
- Imu in the Final War

Imu HAS to Domi Reversi Akainu otherwise his rule will end in less than a year as per Oda’s words

Akainu doesnt need to be controlled at all for that to happen lol. Guaranteed he'll be present when the Yonko start fighting each other over the 4th Road Poneglyph, possibly at or around Lodestar.

Because Imu represents the state of the world in this series and Im not convinced at all Oda has the narrative depth to imply Blackbeard will overpower him alone or get One Piece/become PK before Luffy. Its effectively ruins the story set in place for decades if this at all happens given how fairly standard we escalate threats in this series.
Imu clearly has the most disdain to Joyboy and Nika, so while yes the Davy clan is important, they are still not Joyboy and I cant see any scenario where that does not payoff with Luffy fighting Imu.
Its just the simple fact that Blackbeard is human and Imu isnt. We cant even assume Imu has devil fruit powers given what he does at almost an infinite scale.
One Piece is fairly simple in how it presents itself and progresses its plot. Can Teach harm the WG and act as a foil to Imu? Of course, but I dont think that implies anything FV related.
