Current day Oda is obsessed with hype tooling his villains right before it's their time to fight.

There is what you just mentioned which is horrendous, but the fighting choreography is just dead aswell.

no creativity, just some lighting, one shots, no touching clash and reused attacks.

Like seriously Garp, Roger, WB, BM and Kaido used the same attacks on Imu… Kaido literally used a move that got devalued so hard at Wano and he used it against Imu.

I mean obviously he just ate the fruit 5 minutes ago I can defend that, but the other 4? All used there attacks before..

As a matter of fact Garp‘s Galaxy Impact was crazier when he saved Coby.

I just read the chapter and I have come to the conclusion that Zoro alone would fuck Imu up a lot more than 6 of these legends did together. If you still didnt figure out that none of these big shots is anywhere close to Zoro, you will never figure it out.

I can forgive Kishi for that. Yes, the writing up to that point didn't make it seem like Madara was bullied by Hashi, but Madara acknowledged his inferiority and schemed beyond his rivalry.

The problem is Oda’s refusal to draw extended fights for non-SHs. I’m sure that in Odapiece, Kaido vs Oden was extreme diff, but the problem is that all Oda showed his audience was an almost entirely offscreened battle followed by Togen Totsuka

There is a good chance that his haki stronger than all of them .
The dude live in time of AW and fight in a 100 year war with robo that tech can't even be done to this day .
I can seeing Oda doing something like that .
Oda already has someone from that era taking a 6 on 1 attack from some the strongest people ever .
Why not give joyboy super broken haki to show how powerful things were back then .
