The Hachi fight had some of those thing's as well, he uses dragon twister to end the fight, go and watch how that was animated vs Zoro's dragon twister against King. Look at how Zoro vs Ryuma was animated, one of Zoro's last fights in the pre time skip, had some of the best choreo for Zoro, the anime elevated it. The Kaku fight doesn't have the greatest choreo but it still has more clarity, fluidity and consistency than Zoro vs King, which was poorly adapted until the final sequence, which by the way, can't be found in the manga. The end of that battle doesn't reflect how Zoro fights. All we had was a nuclear explosion, mountains crumbling to dust, Zoro soaring through he sky and the characters replaced with light beams. This isn't how Oda drew the fight. Toei chose to portray it that way, nothing to do with Oda.
