Looking Steph he still got some years ahead of him, so he is still good at Warriors or whatever he is gon be,
but looking at my idol CP3 its basically Over especially when they not playing him as second string that in result they are winning while in preseason. I heard its his last season?
yes he announced earlier that he'd retire after this season, his body is cooked basketball-wise

Watching the Lakers today Lebron got to play with AD since he turned like 33/34, now he gets Luka. KD always playing for an all star team.

Shit makes me sick to my stomach, Steph has been playing with a bottom 2 roster since 2020. That 2022 ring was a miracle. If he had the rosters these other two OGs had the past 5 years I wouldn't even put 6 rings past him. @Nidai_Kitetsu

And it's not true, he wants to win it more than anyone. But he's too focused on doing it naturally. Lebron and KD run at the sight of any adversity. I think enough is enough though, with the way he's playing rn if they waste this year I think he may look to move. There's a limit to how much you can take advantage of a man.

Curry really needs that fifth ring. It would silence every hater once and for all. Imagine grabbing two rings in a chaotic era as an uncle, that would be surreal. It would also put him one ring ahead of Lebum’s four, and beating his legendary rival in both ring count and overall game influence. Steph fucking changed how the game is played. This would turn into an insane narrative years from now.

Steph elevated them so much it's insane. Probably the best ever at making his teammates better. His raw presence is enough on the court. Not to mention him being an amazing leader and teammate off the court. The intangibles going for him is insane too. Truly 1 of 1. Fuck the front office.

Nah 2022 already did that and cemented his legacy. The remaining haters are just trolls that will never stop. LeBron completed basketball 9 years ago and is still hated so much despite doing everything. Hate is a natural emotion in sports. Some people just don't shut up. They'll crawl back inside their caves in the offseason then return the moment he has a bad stretch.

But yeah the general criticism and hatred he got from 2016-2022 from the media and the casual fan disappeared with #4.

A lot of the mainstream analysts still gatekeep him from top 10. He’s the greatest PG of all-time in accomplishments and ability. He just doesn’t stat pad lol, could have broken all the records in his prime if that was his goal.

I believe he will retire as a warrior. He has nothing to prove and his ring count is not worse than any of his rivals. Why would a Bay Area legend, with 4 kids, move to another city/organization? Doesnt make much sense to me.

The thing is he has too much life in him to just rot with this trash front office. Curry with a middle of the pack roster rn would probably be a favourite to win. You cannot pass that up.

Equalize rosters in the league and Curry is beating anyone else, without a doubt. Even OKC isn't touching him in the playoffs in that scenario, it's just impossible to guard Steph, and he opens up the floor too much for everyone else. With a semi competent roster it will be near impossible to take him out 4 games in a series. Keep in mind even with Jimmy down Steph took a game off the Rockets and then eventually destroyed them in game 7. The Warriors were def gonna beat the Twolves but Steph went down in Game 1. So even with this dumpster fire of a situation he was WCF bound. Even a minor upgrade takes him to Finals territory.

The team being too great during 2017-2019 in the prime also kinda hurt his perception. He was still the best player on that squad and still among the best in the world but people just discounted it cause Warriors were too good. In reality, he was as good if not better than he was in 2014-2016 but he had to share the ball with another top 3 player in KD. Most casuals don't care about stuff like gravity and usage but Steph's numbers weren't as high only because of lower usage and settling for a more playmaking role. Now that he's had to carry the team offensively in the 2020s, he's started to rack up a lot more high scoring performances finally getting the respect he deserves as one of the greatest scorers in the game's history. But, just imagine, if he's this good now then how good he could have been with higher usage in his prime. It'd be 2016 Curry being repeated for 5 straight years.

I guarantee you if KD never joins, they replace Barnes with someone around Paul George's lvl that offseason. Curry is sitting with 3-4 MVPs and same amount of rings at the very least. We were robbed of peak Steph for like 4 years.

It pisses me off people use the 2015 finals where Kyrie/Love were injured as proof the dynasty would have ended. This is wrong on so many levels:

1) 2015 =/= 2016. The 2016 versions of the players and the overall team was far superior to 2015.
2) In the 2016 finals, where the Cavs were healthy, the Warriors were injured (Curry/Bogut) and Silver suspended Draymond for no reason. Yet it came down to a one possession game in G7. If you have everything going your way yet it goes down to the wire then maybe you're simply a worse team.
3) It's absolutely delusional to think a FO who was making all the great moves at the time would simply sit back after a 3-1 choke in the finals and sign absolutely nobody else if they didn't get KD. KD was the best option cause he was... well fucking Kevin Durant but they'd have definitely gotten other assets if they didn't sign KD.
4) He averaged 27/5/8 on +8 rTS in games without KD in 16-17. Warriors were playing on a 70 win pace WITHOUT KD that year.
5) Steph had somewhere around a +17-19 nRTG on/off swing.

Now, I ain't trying to diminish KD either. KD was what made us the greatest team ever and I love him for everything he did for us. But pretending a 73-9 team would magically dwindle into mediocrity is just stupid agenda. The Cavs would be the only issue in the finals since the 2017 Cavs were also improved but I'd still favour our chances.

Well said. It's mostly the Mainstream media, clutch affiliates, and Bron stans who try to spread that bs. A lot of rewriting history. Even with Barnacles back on the squad Warriors have a legit chance of winning the next year let alone replacing him with more talent. The Cavs needed a historic 3 games ontop of Curry being at 70%, with Bogut down, and Iggy with half a back to win by one possession, doesn't take a genius to figure out that just being healthy alone means Warriors win, but it's hard to guarantee health so to be on the safe side you'd logically replace Barnes with a high lvl piece.

Anyhow 2019 if Klay doesn't get injured they have a legit shot at beating Raps. And in 22 they won with Wiggins as the 2nd best on the team. Speaks for itself. Warriors were going to continue to dominate in the late 2010s regardless.

LOL I completely forgot about that Iggy injury. So many undocumented stuff man. I get it, it's hard to make excuses for a historic 3-1 choke and nobody's gonna be caring about that in the moment because LeBron/Cavs made history. Fair enough. But once the offseason is over, I am sure we can atleast reflect back on some context right? Or stop the double standards by saying the 2015 Cavs woulda won (even in that series, the media completely ignored LeBron's piss poor efficiency, completely disappearing in a pivotal G4 and being bad in the last 3 games in general and Curry going off in the clutch not to mention the obvious FMVP robbery).

Anyhow 2019 if Klay doesn't get injured they have a legit shot at beating Raps.
Yeah, this is obvious. Both Klay and KD had to get brutally injured with season ending injuries for the media to even care about health when it came to the Warriors. Thankfully, 2022 disproved every single narrative the media and the haters had against us and proved GSW fans were in fact always right.

(I hate that period ngl, the basketball was super fun but damn Curry's rep was in the gutter and I had to fight in the trenches. Especially 2020. That was rock bottom. People were putting everyone and their mama over Chef and rewriting history in real time cause he was finally not tormenting the league after 6 years of pure domination).

Shoutout to CP0, top 5 caliber pg all time for sure. He lasted a long long time.
Hate that little snake
The man behavior is something else

But a real solid player, but a bit overrated for me

he isn’t top 5 PG in history for me

KD joining the Bay in 2016-2017 hurt a bit that statement

Golden state had the best team and yet Steph was cool with KD joining them

It’s not a « natural » way of winning at all

Steph not a saint

Warriors were gonna be title contenders regardless so that's not an adversity. GSW was targeting KD since 2015 itself and so WAS LEBRON AND THE CAVS. 2009-2014 and 2020-2021 where there were real adversities, Steph never called quits unlike the other superstars.

There's a reason why the Bay loves Curry more than any other city loves any other current player. It's the same with Dallas with Dirk and LA with Kobe. You don't get that without loyalty and a genuine connection with a fanbase. Miami fans treat LeBron like a mercenary and LA fans love him but not as much. Only Cleveland fans have that deep connection but nowhere near the same magnitude. KD is hated by half the fanbase of every team he's played for. Only Warriors fans love him (they adore him irl don't let the internet beef fool you) but then again there's like 3 other players they love more.

That the worst thing

we all know that GS would have still be an insane team after 2016 without KD

and with good back up they would have won 2016/2017 and even after

even 2015/2016 the Warriors were likely the better team

KD joining was like cheating, and yeah they beat down the league for two years, but it didn’t feel the same way at all

. Only Cleveland fans have that deep connection but nowhere near the same magnitude.
Lebron history with Cleveland is indeed particular and special

hate/love relationship but indeed an eternal one

it’s different than Steph or Kobe but it isn’t less strong I think
