Couldn't it be like for instance a passive unlock where if someone brings the mysterious door then he has to type in caps all the time? That was my first thought.
Though now having read more I think it's weird that he called it a joke? It makes the event completely null, and I'm willing to lean him scum because there is no advantage to town to do something like this.
However if this was a true info dump he'd be modkilled by now. My guess is that he is not that character who has problems with doors else he'd be modkilled. There was no effect used on him else he wouldn't call it a joke. So for now I'm reading him as scummy.
I also just saw Akai's reveal but I'm not fully convinced since fake write-ups exist.
For the moment I see Light as town and Al as scummy, mostly from the way they are behaving and how I know they play as scum/town.
Flower reminds me of the flower from last game so I'm leaning town on her.

you’re actually doubting akai2 character reveal? We know big mom pirates are town and we know flampe is in this game because she was in a previous write up
there shouldnt be any reason to doubt akai2. This is like the time everyone kept saying drago and flower were light/misa instead of masons and i had to argue with half of town
