The Edd war is a canon event in the verse meaning Roger And Shiki fought to a draw. Shiki was an equal to Newgate and Roger. Unless you deny the manga canon that’s just not arguable

We dont how the war went , it could be anything maybe , but we know that the movie is everything as feats , even his role with rocks is just like franky or robin

If current Shamrock = Shanks, I think a fight between Sham and Zoro could be used to show how far Zoro still has to go before fighting Mihawk. 'Cause if he can't defeat Mihawk's old sparring pal, then he sure isn't ready for the proper duel for the WSS title (which, ofc, he should be yet - but this would tell us, the readers, how wide is the gap in power/skill between the two swordsmen).
