If current Shamrock = Saint Shanks, I think a fight between Sham and Zoro could be used to show how far Zoro still has to go before fighting Mihawk. 'Cause if he can't defeat Mihawk's old sparring pal, then he sure isn't ready for the proper duel for the WSS title (which, ofc, he should be yet - but this would tell us, the readers, how wide is the gap in power/skill between the two swordsmen).
