Kid has a misplaced grudge against Shanks because he thinks Shanks wronged him as a child. But Shamrock is really the one Kid has a dark past with. Kid will get his revenge against his real target. He will tag team him with Luffy most likely to mirror Luffy tag teaming with Law against the evil half of a celestial dragon pair of brothers(Doffy/Shamrock). Kid may even end up blowing off Shamrocks arm so that he can become like Kid and Shanks. Red haired with one arm lol. Oda gave Kid CoC so that he could damage the Holy Knights.

I think it's very likely that Shanks already had his crew by this point.
If I remember correctly, it's implied he recruited Yasopp before Usopp was born 19-20 years ago.
He was in an infiltration mission in the Holy Land, likely looking for info on the Gomu Gomu Fruit.
So this means his crew was a thing 15 years ago, on standby, and were just unknown and small fry which is why his infiltration succeeded. The Red Hair Pirates 15 years ago werent on the Marines and WG radar.
Edit : Upon verification, Yasopp joined Shanks when Usopp was a baby, which is 19-18 years ago. Timeline still checks out.

One Piece stans and One Piece haters really take this series way too seriously sometimes lol.
I simply read the latest One Piece chapter, and watch the latest anime episode, come here and sometimes discuss whatever One Piece related topic, and then just move on.
I still love and enjoy the series, but some people have this weird obsession with it, like it was a story created by god himself.
Also Oda himself now pretty much makes the story for himself rather than the readers, he really doesn't care what his readers think especially if they are not from Japan.

I already got the Divine Departure Figuart, but Shanks' flamboyant gay twin brother has more aura lately, ngl.
